The house is located in the charming little village of San Quirico d'Orcia, south of Siena. The village is perfect for exploring southern Tuscany's breath taking scenery, picturesque medieval hill-top towns and the legendary Brunello wine producers nearby.

The house has been thoughtfully renovated to a high standard - with 3 double bedrooms comfortably sleeping 6, two new bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a large sitting room with log fire & large terrace for outside dining. Crisp white bed linen and towels, Large plasma TV, internet WIFI, two mountain bikes, IPOD Dock Speakers and a 100+ movie collection of DVD's are all provided. The thick walls and stone floors keep the house cool in summer & cosy in winter.

From the village you can glimpse the nearby famous villages of Pienza, Montalcino, Montepulciano or even historic Siena, on the horizon, 24 miles to the north.

You could easily spend a week simply soaking up 'la dolce vita' in the village itself. There are a good choice of restaurants, cafes, a good quality butcher, bakeries, an excellent fishmonger, several fashionable boutiques, a fab new Ice Cream Shop and several swimming pool possibilities. Its particularly child friendly - with everything on your door step.

The region traditionally attracts cyclists, hikers, photographers, wine aficionados and more recently the trendy cosmopolitan jet-set. Activities include enjoying the sensational culinary delights, mountain biking, hiking, language and cookery courses, or relaxing at one of the many luxury spas or hill top swimming pools.

However - you may prefer simply chilling-out sipping cappuccinos in the village square, swimming in a nearby pool, dining at home on the terrace or perhaps curled up in front of a blazing log fire reading a good book or watching a movie.
