About our home

Our houseboat was built 10 years ago. The house is very bright, comfortable and easy. We have a nice garden with several places where you can relax and enjoy the view. We have a 6,5 meter motorboat which you can use.
We are located between 2 small villages. The nearest village, Loenen aan de Vecht (700 meters) is a beautiful old village and has 7 restaurants (!) in all price ranges, some small shops and a supermarket. And if you want excitement: Amsterdam is only 20 minutes away.

Buzzy restaurants: Loenen: Tante Koosje, Amsterdammertje. Amsterdam: Nevy, Toscanini, Tanuki
Cozy cafés: De heeren van Cronenburg
Retail therapy: PC Hooftstraat, Bijenkorf, Negen Straatjes
Bit of culture: Modern art, Contemporary art, theaters,
Walks in the park: Stroll along the river
Spot of exercise: Just start walking, cycling in the neighbourhood
Day tripping: Take the boat on a trip along the idyllic river de Vecht and the lakes of Loosdrecht. Visit Amsterdam or Utrecht.
