About our home

This newly rebuilt house is our sanctuary from the world! Perched high above Onetangi Beach on Waiheke Island, it's a delightful 4 bedroom luxury retreat. Stylishly decorated with stunning 270 degree views across two beaches and an astonishing coastline.
Open plan living areas, a fabulous entertainer's kitchen and 10 huge sliding glass doors opening the ground floor up to the huge decks which lead down to an infinity swimming pool, outdoor fireplace and BBQ area - the perfect place to relax with a chilled glass of acclaimed Waiheke wine. Large gardens provide plenty of room to picnic and play, with lots of games and books for children and adults alike. We've got cable TV, Bose iPod docking station, wireless internet, flatscreen TV and lots of window seats to stretch out for a sunny snooze and take in the world-class views.
We're just 4 minutes downhill by car to sweeping Onetangi Beach and its cafes, with superb vineyard restaurants also close to hand. Waiheke Island is dotted with stunning vineyards, olive groves and amazing views of headlands, islands in the gulf and glorious beaches. Auckland City is just 35 minutes away by fast ferry. Waiheke Island itself is criss crossed with interesting walking trails, wonderful cafes and restaurants, artist studios, a quirky community cinema, supermarket, great deli and all the day to day shopping you'll need. Lovely restaurant - The Oyster Inn - google it and find out more about our wonderful island. This is New Zealand at its best. We also have a 4-bedroom character Wellington harbourside house, just minutes from the cafes, theatres, musems and open spaces of downtown, so a two-centre Kiwi adventure is a great basis for your New Zealand holiday itinerary.

Buzzy restaurants
Charley Farleys on the beach for great morning coffee
Cool bars
Enjoying a chilled Pinot Gris at Mudbrick Vineyard's terrace watching the sunset over Auckland in the distance, divine!
Cozy cafés
Fenice in Oneroa Village, great woodfired pizza
Retail therapy
Quirky, island/beachy stuff at True Blue in Ostend
Bit of culture
Has to be wine related on Waiheke! Take the dirt road out to Man O War Bay and the amazing characterful Man O War Vineyards tasting shed right next to the beach for a real taste of country Waiheke
Walks in the park
The island is full of walking trails, but Stony Batter on the eastern tip is a favourite, especially on a sunny, calm day - astonishing views right over to the Coromandel Peninsula
Spot of exercise
Just four minutes downhill from the house by car, stretch your legs on huge Onetangi Beach - the best on the island - with a great coffee afterwards
Day tripping
Back to Auckland in 30 minutes or the amazing Rotorua Island, just 15 minutes away to the East, a fascinating trip to a former Salvation Army drying out clinic, now a wonderful island opened up to the public
