There is also a barbeque and a reflecting pool. To the north, the house looks down the valley to the city , to the west the view is through mature native trees to the Domain (Auckland's oldest park). The house is a few paces away from Parnell Road, with its popular shops and restaurants. Parnell is Auckland's oldest suburb and much of it has been refurbished and restored.

Being close to the centre of Auckland, there are plenty of activities to suit all ages. You can hire boats out to the Islands, go hiking, do water sports, or enjoy the cultural aspects of the city. There are beaches and a range of golf courses a short drive from the city.
