It is just a short drive out to Tawharanui Regional Park on Takatu Peninsula or to the Marine Reserve at Goat Island Bay, Leigh. Omaha Beach is one of the best in the region and during the week, it is almost deserted. Great for walks, swimming, surfing or boarding.
