About our home

Our 3,600ft home has been recently renovated into a beautiful family home. We have created a modern tropical feel throughout with plenty of natural light and views across to a pristine rainforest and huge reservoir from every level. The front garden is inviting and houses a timber decking with designer outdoor furniture and 5 burner gas barbeque. This opens up into the house via two separate entrances to a spacious open plan kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is designed for cooking and entertaining, with new BOSCH fittings, a choice of gas and induction cooktops and multi function oven. We have a breakfast bar integrated into the 4m kitchen benchtop. Also on the ground level is a 8 seater dining table with leather chairs and a spacious living room with surround stereo and a 46" LCD TV with full cable TV subscription, X Box Connect and Wii. This space is ideal for relaxing, entertaining or simply taking in the view.

In the basement is a bathroom and family lounge and TV area with a 42" plasma TV with full cable TV and DVD player. There is also access to the small back garden from here with trampoline.

On the first floor there are 4 double bedrooms. The new master suite has a queen sized bed, floor to ceiling built ins and modern en-suite bathroom with two washbasins and GROHE fittings. The children's bedroom has two single beds and the guest bedroom has a queen sized bed and great views to the reservoir with a bathroom just outside. The fourth bedroom is currently set up as a playroom (designed for young girls) but could easily be converted to a bedroom if needed.

The second floor is one huge room with large decked roof garden and 6-seater table, which has the most spectacular views. The sunsets here can be amazing and it's perfect for evening entertaining. The room is set up as an adult retreat with a library, computer, armchairs, couch, drinks fridge and a 42" LCD TV and hard disk containing over 600 movies. There is also a large bathroom with an enormous sunken bathtub.

The entire house has air conditioning and wireless broadband high speed internet.

Our home is located in at the start of Upper Thomson Road. Its a 15 minute drive in different directions from the City and Orchard Road (the main shopping street), beaches, the famous Singapore Zoo and a host of other cultural and historical sites. The location is ideal to explore the whole of Singapore as you are in the centre of the Island. We are very open to including a car in the exchange, however if preferred, public transport is convenient and taxis are cheap!

The house is located at the end of a cul de sac which means the traffic is minimal. The neighbourhood provides a combination of restaurants, a food court for exploring the local cuisine and shops for daily groceries all at the end of the street. This includes a Chocolate Cake shop and a brand new Ice Cream parlour. There is also easy access to the main nature reserves and reservoirs which provide fabulous runs and hikes in a pristine rainforest...there are plenty of opportunities for photography.

The tourist attractions in Singapore are constantly expanding and the choice of activities is endless. Resorts World Sentosa has a Universal Studios theme park, Casino and Underwater World. There are also many other activities (luge, wave house), beaches, restaurants and bars on Sentosa Island. The Singapore Zoo and Night Safari are one of the best in the world and well worth a visit. Shopping and eating are Singaporean's favorite activities and the options are bountiful...

If exploring beyond Singapore is of interest then holiday destinations such as Malaysia, Thailand and Bali and very close (1-2 hrs flight) and offer different cultures, some amazing scuba diving and white sandy beaches.
