About our home

We would like to welcome you to our stunning three bedroom villa overlooking the traditional Spanish village of Albanchez. Beautifully located with mountain range views. The villa has a 10 x 4metre private solar heated pool. This is our 'home from home' s Thank you for viewing our villa. Our names are Paul and Nikki and we purchased our villa in 2002. We were looking for a home with a stunning view that we could enjoy holidaying with our two young sons. The moment we found the villa we knew we had found what we were looking for. We hope that it will make a prefect holiday destination for you too.

We spent quite some time looking for a Spanish retreat that we could spend quality time with our two young sons seven years ago. We were looking for an area that would be perfect for children but without being near a busy beach, but within an easy distance when we do fancy a day out there. We had been looking for some time before we stumbled across this tranquil village. It was everything we were looking for and more! When we visit Albanchez it is hard to not feel immediately relaxed along with everyones laid back attitude here.

For your convenience this year we have added WIFI to the property. We know your on holiday but more and more people are looking to check emails or their phone apps. In addition having two children ourselves we thought it would be nice to put a Nintendo Wii in the property. This has been very popular. The swimming pool has solar heating and a solar blanket to enhance the heating in the shoulder months. We have also installed a water softener at the villa to provide filtered drinking water - it makes a huge difference not filling a trolley with drinking water. The softener also makes showering and bathing more pleasurable.

The small village of Albanchez has several bars and a hotel offering a good range of meals at competitive prices. On a Thursday the village has a small traditional weekly market, mainly offering food. Albox is 20 minutes drive away. Supermarket, banks plenty of bars, restaurants, shops etc. There is a market here on a Tuesday.

The Alhambra in Granada is approx 2 hours drive away. As is the Sierra Nevada mountain and ski range.
There are many lovely beaches approx 45 minutes drive away. Villaricos is a lovely sandy bay with a Children's play area. In the summer season there is a snack bar. A Little harbour is a few minutes walk from the beach. Garrucha and Puerto Ray are long stretches of sandy beach. Mojacar is a long and wide stretch of beach with shops, restaurants etc. Old town Mojacar is a traditional Spanish town and is certainly worth a visit.

Golf - Desert Springs Golf Club and Valle Del Este Golf Club both approx 45 minutes drive away.

Skiing - Sierra Nevada mountain range is approx 2 hours drive away.

Almeria Airport 1 and a half hours.
Murcia and Granada 2 hours.
Alicante 2 and a half hours.
