About our home

This is our holiday home and we visit only once every two months. Its a tropical-contemporary house designed by myself with lots of clean lines, wood, concrete, natural stones and white. The house has water features inside and outside. It has two living spaces and spacious en-suite bedrooms and a pool and deck overlooking the beach. There is a tennis court (though we hardly play), plenty of lawns and of course the deserted beach on your doorstep. Weligama is one of the less populated beaches with only a few small hotels, so the beaches are relatively free of tourists and hawkers. Nearby is Galle which is an old dutch fort and has great little cafes, restaurants and boutique hotels and shops. The house is fully staffed with a cook who will whip up some spicy Sri Lankan curries or fresh seafood which you can buy straight out of the sea in Weligama, or he can do western dishes. There is also a cleaner and full time security.
