About our home

Welcome to our home!. We live in a newly built house in a new subdivision in a Gothenburg suburb. The house is 3000 sq.feet and is two levels. The entrance level consists of a family room, guest bedroom, bathroom, laundry and garage. The upper (main) floor is of an open design with kitchen, dining room and living room all in one. Of course, being a new house everything is new and of a high grade. The master bedroom is next to the living room and has a lovely master bathroom with jacuzzi and shower as well as a walk in closet. Next to the kitchen is a playroom with two bedrooms and a bathroom. Off the playroom there is one large deck facing south and off the livingroom is another deck facing south and west. We are on top of a hill so you get a beautiful view of the surroundings. The garden, retaining walls and second deck will be completed in May 2012. We are open to having you use one of our cars. We take pride in our home and are equally conscientious of others' homes when exchanging.

We live in Molnlycke which is a 10 minute drive from downtown Gothenburg and a 10 minute drive from the airport. We are surrounded by beautiful nature and many lakes. A short walk down the hill and you will arrive at one of the many swimming lakes in the area - this one has a sand beach and a dock. Molnlycke center is a quaint old-Europe village square with all the amenities. Nearby Gothenburg is Sweden's second largest city. It and is on the west coast offers many activities, shopping, restaurants as well as beautiful sights. The archipelago is amazing. Please check out www.goteborg.com

If you want to explore more of Scandinavia you could not be more central - three hours or less to each of the Scandinavian capitals of Oslo (Norway), Stockholm (Sweden) and Copenhagen (Denmark). And the rest of Europe is not far away! We would be happy to help you plan your stay here.

With a climate very similar to Vancouver, July and August are ideal for a visit (with the added bonus of 20 hours of daylight!). The lakes and ocean are warm and the scenery is in full bloom. Come sample the Nordic way of life!
