About our home

Our 215 square meter apartment is situated in the elegant Östermalm district only 50 m from the landmark Karlaplan with its beautiful fountain. From here it is only a short walk to virtually everything; the old town, the royal castle, shopping districts, the royal opera, museums, city boats, recreation park, the Zoo, running tracks etc. etc. It is located only 100 m from busses and subway stations.

Buzzy restaurants
Have lunch with traditional Swedish food at Lisa Elmquist or Gerdas in Östermalmshallen (food market). Enjoy gourmet food prepared by top chef Mattias Dahlgren at Matbaren/Matsal (located in Grand Hotel), or go to the trendy restaurant BAR and have your choice of favorite oysters. Pontus by the Sea is a popular restaurant on the shores of the Old town and in the ancient alleys you'll find cosy Bistro Ruby. Other great dinner spots are Fredsgatan, Teatergrillen, Sturehof and Vassa Eggen.
Cool bars
Enjoy a glass of Champagne at Riche Bar or a drink (best in town) at Gondolen (stunning view) located in Söder. Have a cold beer on the water at Strandbryggan, only a couple of minutes walk from our home or have it at Tudor Arms awarded "Best British Pub Outside UK 2010", just around the corner.
Cozy cafés
Trendy Foam or classical Tösse Konditori nearby, Roberts Coffee in the Swedish traditional food market Östermalmshallen, Rosendahls Trädgårdscafé in the beautiful Royal garden called Djurgården.
Retail therapy
You'll find it all at NK department store and Biblioteksgatan shopping street, or in Sture Gallerian mall. On Birger Jarlsgatan flagship stores such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Mulberry and BOSS are lined up. You will also find great multi-brand boutiques like Nathalie Schuterman and Mathilde. If you're looking for small speciality stores, they are around the corner (everything from food markets, tee houses, chocolate producers and bakers to quality antiques and art galleries).

Wasa Museum, Fotografiska Museet, Modern Museum of Art, Nationalmuseum, The Royal Castle, The Royal Opera, Dramaten and much more.
Walks in the park
The Royal garden Djurgården is only a 5 minute walk away.

Day tripping
The Stockholm archipelago has a thousand islands and boats will take you just about anywhere. You can also go by boat into the sea Mälaren and visit the home of our King and Queen Drottningholm Castle.
