About our home

Our 1950's villa was modernised and fully renovated in 2011. Conveniently located in the village of Arzier with stunning views of Switzerland and France. Only a short distance from Geneva, Lausanne and Montreux and the French Rhone valley. You can explore the Jura mountains all year round but when it snows we have 50KM of downhill and 220KM of cross country skiing only minutes away. Buy a bottle of wine at the local chateau and watch Mont Blanc turn pink in the evening sun. If you like France and Italy, you will love Switzerland!

Buzzy restaurants: The Kids Love Rando Burger 3 minutes drive away. While the adults will love the Auberge de L'Union 5 minutes walk from the house - you will find it in the Michelin guide.
Cool bars: Lake shore bars and trendy eateries abound in Nyon, or head to the popular city of Lausanne where Bars and Clubs welcome quiet drinkers and revelers alike
Cozy cafés: Hot pain au chocolate in the village Boulangerie or take the mountain train to St Cergue and enjoy a Fondue
Retail therapy: Spend your cash in Geneva or spend less in France just 20 minutes away! Globus is the most famous department store in Geneva and Lausanne but the more budget conscious can head over to the Divonne Sunday Market.
Bit of culture: Visit the beautiful Chateau Le Rosey and taste their fine wine, head across the lake to Evian Les Bain or Yvoire to experience the best France has to offer.
Walks in the park: Just leave the front door - its all one giant park! You don't need to be super fit, you can walk downhill all the way to the lake if you want to, (then take the train back)
Spot of exercise: Mountain bike down, or road bike up one of the most popular cycling routes in the area goes past the front gate. The more adventorous should try the Les Rousses Fort where you can climb the trees and scale the walls. In the winter there are 220KM of cross country ski pistes only a few moments away and 50KM of downhill skiing 20 minutes drive away.
Day tripping: Montreux, stunning scenery and musical history abounds, Lyon, Porte de Soleil, Morbierre, Mont Blanc.. its all less than 2 hours away.
