About our home

Our house was built in 1999, is spacious (200 m2) and functional. It easily accommodate 5-7 people. The kitchen, bright, spacious, is a great place to meet around a table of special form. The dining room, extended by the salon can accommodate up to 14 guests. The master bedroom is upstairs with dressing room and ensuite bathroom. The 3 children's bedrooms (11 m2) are all located on the south side. The terraces and garden overlook one of the finest views of Lake Geneva and the Alps. From the windows of the lounge, watch the evening lights of the french coast. We can arrange for the cleaning is done before and after the exchange (except the dishes of course).We expect in return if possible the same kind of arrangement in the house of our hosts. Our house is situated on the hills overlooking the village of Grandvaux, 9 km east of the city of Lausanne.
This town of 2,000 inhabitants offers an enchanting view of the Lavaux region, which has been recognized as exceptional site and World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
The vineyard of Grandvaux, 60 acres, hillside, produce subtle and refined wines. In an idyllic setting, enjoy the nectar that Mother Nature has given us!
The motorway, 5 minutes away, will guide you easily to your favorite destinations. Public transport (train or bus) are 5 min. from home and will lead you in 15-20 minutes to the center of Lausanne, and from there to any place in Switzerland.
A car is not essential, but useful (shopping etc.). We are happy to provide a car for trips further afield. All Swiss cities or places of interest are easily accessible on a day trip (Geneva, Montreux, Gstaad, Zermatt, Verbier, Zurich).
