About our home

Our top floor poolside apartment, located in South Eastern Turkey, where the Aegean Sea meets The Mediterranean, has beautiful bay views from its windows and Juliet balconies, and is one of six within an exclusive traditional Turkish style-building. It has a shared pool with sun terrace and an amazing roof terrace that has unrestricted views of Kalkan and Kalamar Bay. Barbecue facilities. Recently refurbished to a very high standard, the apartment sleeps 4. (2 bedrooms both with air con). Travertine-floored, screened and double-glazed throughout. It is situated within a quiet location, just a 10 minute stroll to Kalkan town and the harbour in one direction, and the bathing platforms of Kalamar Bay in the other.

Buzzy restaurants
Kalkan has a vibrant restaurant scene with over fifty restaurants offering everything from gourmet to traditional Turkish fare.
Cool bars
Try the long established Moonlight Bar for late night drinks, or sit and watch the sun go down at Cafe Cleo Bar in the harbour.
Cozy cafés
The Merkez is one of many cafes situated in the cobbled streets of the Old Town.
Retail therapy
Wander the cobbled streets of the Old Town looking for Turkish treasure, or try your hand at the Thursday markets where bartering is all part of the experience!
Bit of culture
Kalkan is close to a number of towns and historical/geographically interesting sites. Fethiye, Olu Deniz, Kaya Koy (the Greek Ghost Town) and the Lycian tombs are all approx. one hour away. The sunken city of Kekova is a leisurely boat trip away, and Saklikent Gorge and the ancient ruins of Xanthos, Letoon, Pinara and Tios are also well worth visiting.
Walks in the park
Kalkan remains an unspoilt harbour town with quaint cobbled streets, a wealth of restaurants offering a very high standard of cuisine, and cool al fresco bars in which to relax.
Spot of exercise
Boat trips, scuba diving and paragliding can all be arranged from the harbour.
Day tripping
Kalkan offers a pebble beach, access to bathing platforms on and around its harbour, and the golden sands of Patara beach are a 20 minute drive away. Beautiful Kaputas beach is a 10 minute drive away
