About our home

Moo House is a recently renovated stone barn conversion at Tughall Steads, a hamlet situated on an organic coastal farm, only 5 minutes drive from the beaches of Beadnell and Newton-by-the-Sea. It is aptly named, as the building was formerly a cow byre! Moo House sleeps 10/12 plus several cots, with 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 shower rooms (two beds and shower rooms on the ground floor offering good accommodation for those not wishing to use the stairs), and plenty of parking spaces. The house is light, bright, airy and furnished and presented to an exceptionally high standard. A 5 star GOLD VisitBritain grade was awarded to Moo House for 2012 and the house has won Gold in the North East Tourism Awards 2010.
With large lounge and spacious kitchen/diner, floor to ceiling windows, log burner, comfy sofas, flat screen television, CD player, king size beds, courtyard garden with table and chairs, and walled garden with BBQ equipment, we've got it covered for the perfect holiday!

This is our holiday home and we love to hang out here when we can. Its a few minutes drive from the beach and we love chilling out in the house and garden. Its a perfect house for getting people together and we've lots of lovely dinner parties here

It is one of the premier properties in our private collection and we use this as our second home whenever time allows and when we feel the need for some sea air and some bracing coastal walks! Its only an hours drive from Newcastle where we live and so we tend to use Moo House whenever we don't have a booking. Its a great base for exploring the beaches and castle on the Northumberland coast and for visiting the Farne Islands, Bamburgh Castle, Alnwick Gardens and Castle, Hadrians Wall, Berwick, Holy Island, Dunstanborough Castle, Craster, Warkworth, Rothbury and the Cheviot Hills
We don't have to do reciprocal swaps as this is our second home. We are also interested in swapping short breaks so not always looking for a week or fortnight
We have membership to a local private leisure club (www.ocean-club.co.uk), so there is somewhere to soak, swim and sauna if its too cold for the sea!
