About our home

Chesham is nestled between the Chiltern hills in Buckinghamshire and is a 12th Century market town. It has the advantage of being on the metropolitan line of the underground so London is only 20 minutes away. Ley Hill is where the house is located which is a beautiful traditional English village with warm and friendly pubs overlooking the cricket pitch and the golf course. The area is very friendly and the restaurants and shopping are unique.All the nearby villages including Berkhamstead and Amersham have a wealth of charm and are buzzing with something for everyone, they will not disappoint.

The house itself is warm, modern and stylish, newly rebuilt with every mod con a family could need, including the most powerful showers and jaccuzzi baths to a stunning kitchen with an induction range oven, dishwasher drawers and a quooker tap. The master bedroom has a lovely balcony which is great to sit out and watch the stars from.

There is also a childrens den with xbox, playstations and media. A fully equiped office. A media centre with surround sound,sky and music. The main living area is open plan with bifold doors which open out onto a courtyard alfresco setting with a gas bbq, this overlooks the main garden and pool.

The house sits upon approx 1.5acres with beautiful formal landscaped gardens, an orchard and a small nature reserve. There is also a heated pool, a covered hottub (great in the evenings whilst watching the sun set) and a traditional heated log cabin which houses my husbands retreat...a pool table, darts board, media and games. There is also an all weather table tennis table, a lawn area for the croquet set and badminton and even a treadmill....for the more adventurous.

We have 2 cars which we could arrange for your convenience, a Volvo XC70 4x4 and a snappy little Fiat 500 (good around town). Oxford and Windsor are less than an hours drive away and are simply stunning places to visit with both Blenheim palace and Winsor castle in situ.

These are just some of the reasons we have settled here as we seem to have the best of both worlds on our doorstep (city and country).

Spot of exercise: Golf and Cricket on your doorstep (visitors welcome).
Day tripping: Eurotunnel only 2hrs away with a 35min crossing into France...go for the day or longer.
