About our home

Our home in the Sussex countryside is the perfect base to explore the South East of England. London Bridge is 1 hour direct by train, Brighton - regarded as the coolest seaside town in England - is 40 minutes drive away and there are lots of places to visit in between including Hever Castle (home of Anne Bolyne), Chartwell House (home of Winston Churchill) and Groombridge Place (film location for Pride and Prejudice). Our home itself is a modern, contemporary living space built in 2006 on the edge of the Ashdown Forest (better known as the 100 Acre Wood from the Winnie The Pooh books). There are 5 double bedrooms (2 ensuite), 4 bathrooms, a large kitchen (12 can dine around our bespoke kitchen table), a large lounge with a galleried landing, separate TV room and utility room. The property has WiFi. There is a large lawned garden with extensive decking providing a large dual level outdoor entertaining area with dining table, lounge area, bbq and gas fire pit. Our town Crowborough was the home of the author Arthur Conan Doyle, creator of Sherlock Holmes. He was a member at our golf course (5 minute walk from our home) regarded as one of the most beautiful and challenging in the country. In the town itself there are 2 health clubs and plenty of shops, small restaurants and country pubs. The spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells is 10 minutes away full of modern bars and restaurants. So whatever you want whether it's history, culture or just chilling on our decking with a glass of wine, it's the perfect spot for a English summer vacation.
