About our home

Our architecturally designed 1960's house is set in large garden grounds. I've loved this house from the very first moment I set foot in the place. It is a split level house with a 27ft living area with oriel windows, picture windows and french doors leading onto a large balcony overlooking the Kilpatrick hills. Each night you can watch the sun set over the hills and the village church. The lower level has 4 bedrooms, a playroom, study, bathroom and laundry.
The village of Milngavie some 5 minutes walk away was recently voted by a National Newspaper as the 'Best place to live the UK!' It is so close to the lochs, hills, parklands yet 20 minutes from the hustle and bustle of the very cosmopolitan city of Glasgow, which boasts superb bars, restaurants, theatres, galleries and shops. There is also a train from our lovely little train station direct to Edinburgh the stunning capital of Scotland. A city like no other! During the month of August the world renowned Edinburgh Festival takes place and is an absolute must.
Then there's Stirling Castle, the Burrell Collection, Botanic Gardens, Byres Road, Science Centre, Xscape..........
