About our home

Our home was created from two cottages. It is traditional old English in style with many original features, It overlooks woods to the front. It is a mile from the town centre but this can also be reached by a short walk through the woods. A small shop is nearby selling groceries and papers. Huddersfield is a university town with a theatre and annual music festival. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside and many interesting villages. The area was featured in the TV series 'Last of the summer wine'. There is a direct train from Manchester airport to Huddersfield which takes about an hour. London is two hours away by train.
