About our home

We have made a contemporary family home in a lovely 100 year old house. The location is perfect for a family who wishes to explore the UK. A safe, friendly neighbourhood on the edge of a large park with free tennis courts, skateboard park, golf course, lake, your children will feel right at home. A master bedroom en suite, two further lovely adult bedrooms (one double and a twin) sharing a bathroom, and two childrens rooms with a family bathroom make it flexible accomodation for bringing two families, a nanny or in laws for a lovely family break. A small city garden is safe for children and enclosed with a lawn, play castle, and patio. The living space is based around an open plan type living dining kitchen with a seperate living room with open fire and a basement playroom for the kids full of toys. Visit the Victorian city of Leeds for great shopping and theatre, or within an hour there are the towns of York and Harrogate. Stately homes, walks in the legendary Dales or Peaks, historic villages and too many days out to count. Just over 2 hours on the train to London or Edinburgh, less to Manchester, Newcastle or Birmingham, this is the perfect central location to "do" the UK from. We have done several successful homeswaps with Canada, France and Ireland, and some of our swappers have been back for more! We are two doctors with three well behaved children and would love to look after your home while you enjoy ours.
