About our home

Our light and airy home is mainly Victorian but parts of it date back to the 1600's. The location is incredible and you can ride straight out onto the open moor on a bicycle, horse or pony. In the fields there are alpacas, chickens, horses and ponies and on the moor, wild ponies on the moor with tiny foals at the moment, sheep and their lambs, cattle, etc. The house has 3 beautiful stables if you want to bring your own horse. It's only 5 minutes drive (or 15 minutes cycle) across the moor and down the hill into the thriving market town of Tavistock. If the children are adventurous (and it's summer!) they can sleep in the hammocks in the stables loft for fun. The surf beaches of north Cornwall are an hour's drive away.

My children are 11, 13 and 15 thus we have a Wii, X-Box 360, wifi, table tennis, table football and air hockey, all the accompaniments of teenage life. You can walk 20 mins across the moor to the Whitchurch Inn where dogs are welcome for a pub meal.
