About our home

Our house was built in 2009. We moved into it from New York City. We chose the neighborhood because it is super central while still being very leafy and quiet.
We have a 9 year old who lives with us and two grown children, 19 and 21, who are away most of the year.
I have worked mostly in the field of interior design both as a decorator and a furniture designer but I am also in the hotel business in Quebec City as co-owner of l'Auberge Saint-Antoine. My husband, Michael is a private investor.
Austin is becoming a real destination town. It was always a music center but it has expanded its appeal over the last few years as a place of real laid-back charm, a magnet for young people, athletes and celebrities as well as ordinary people who crave authenticity, simplicity and an undeniable cool factor.
We always travel during the week of the SXSW Festival (March) because it coincides with our daughter"s school holiday.
We are away from mid-June to mid-August every year and are open to a swap then as well as the Christmas holidays when we are also away.
