About our home

Built in 2009, this holiday home is just 12 minutes from the front gates of Disney's Magic Kingdom. Orlando is known far and wide for being the "happiest place on earth". Our lovely holiday villa is a wonderful place to relax after a day at the parks. Both master bedrooms have electric beds featuring massage functions. The third bedroom is the "Cars" room and is equipped with twin iPod beds. Kids can create their own sound spheres. The alligator room, known as "The Palm Inn", is lovely, but best of all is the Princess room, where a fairytale bed can accommodate 1-3 princesses in the style to which they would like to be accustomed. Lots of floats and toys for the pool and spa. All child safety features in place (fence and door alarms). This home is exceptionally well equipped for family fun with everything from a poker set and board games to a WII console with a good variety of games. Each of the 5 bedrooms features a 32" flat screen TV and there is a 50" ultra-thin LCD set in the great room that pops up from a console. The gourmet kitchen is very well equipped with flatware, dishes and all kinds of appliances - even a Norwegian wafflemaker. There is a side-by-side refrigerator/freezer with icemaker, and a brand new high-end dishwasher and high-efficiency washer/dryer combo. The house is professionally cleaned and operated.

This is a fabulous retreat for our family where 3 generations or families can enjoy spending time together without stepping on each others' toes. Close to the front gate of the Magic Kingdom, and 20 minutes from Sea World and the new Legoland that just opened in October 2011. Harry Potter Land at Universal Studios is also just 20 minutes away. Would also be amenable to a car swap. Ours in a brand new 2011 Volvo XC60 crossover with plenty of room for 5 passengers, including 2 built-in booster seats.

The Sandy Ridge subdivision is peaceful and quiet and the villa is located on a beautiful conservation area with a duck pond just behind the pool. We've had opaque "Florida glass" (plasticized screening) put up on the sides of the birdcage over the pool, so the pool area is now completely private from the houses on either side. There is a big square dining table with 8 chairs under the roofed area and there are 4 very comfortable sunbeds at poolside.
