About our home

Our home was built in 1893 and was originally a farmhouse. It is situated on 5 private acres in the hills above Naples NY in the beautiful Finger Lakes region. The house has been extended and renovated with ultra-modern bathrooms and a state of the art kitchen, has a wrap around porch with a hot tub and a large side deck with a built in fire pit. We are in a grape growing area with many wineries close by and there is an extensive artist community in the vicinity. There are many outdoor activities: rafting and kayaking (including Letchworth State Park and the Erie Canal), walking trails in the hills all about, ski-ing, cycling, and wine tours galore. The motor cycling around the Finger Lakes is outstanding. The southern tip of Canandaigua Lake is 4 miles away. The nearest significant airport is Rochester NY, 52 miles to the north; Buffalo and Syracuse airports are 2 hours away by car. Niagara Falls is a 2.5 hours car ride away.
Our home is not suitable for young children. Older children are fine.
