About our home

You can watch the sunset on the Hudson River from our pre-war, lovely 3 bedroom sunny and spacious apartment. It is in one of the most desirable buildings on the Upper West Side with 24 hour doorman and concierge. Two long elegant hallways with hardwood floors add privacy and separate the rooms. The living room and two bedrooms overlook the Hudson River and Riverside Park. Two bedrooms are spacious and each has its own bathroom. The third interior bedroom is small but very cozy. We have an eat-in fully equipped kitchen with all modern appliances. We have a large formal living room and a dining room that that also serves as our informal TV room.

Buzzy restaurants
There are so many restaurants in the area, from inexpensive outdoor cafes with every kind of food you could possiblily want to the new elegant restaurant called Lincoln in the newly refurnbushed Lincoln Center for the Arts. Whether it is the all-American hamburger, Chinese, Italian, or Sunday brunch at Sarabeths, you have an enormous selection within a couple blocks.
Cozy cafés
We love Nice Matin, Isabella's, Genaro, and the new Boat Basin Cafe along the Hudson River.
Retail therapy
There are many small shops for women's clothing, shoe stores, linens, and the amazing discounted Filene's where you can find designer clothing for women, men and children at very low prices. Best of all are the gourmet food shops, from Zabars at 80th st Broadway to Fairway and Citeralla at 75th and Broadway.
Bit of culture
There are two theatres within 4 blocks, and of course Lincoln Center, and all Broadway theatres are a 15 minute subway ride.
Walks in the park
You can just about roll out of bed from the apartment to beautiful Riverside Park to take a stroll, jog or take children to one of the serveral playgrounds in the park. Or take a jog to Central Park and run the several miles around the reservoir, roller skate or watch the amazing skaters performing for the crowd. In the summer there is Shakespeare in the Park and many concerts to enjoy while you picnic on the grass.

We are a couple in our 60's, with grown children. Marty is a doctor and I am a clinical social worker who love to travel, meet new people and experience other cultures. We both work very hard and look forward to getting away, slowing ourselves down to enjoy so much of what life has to offer.

Our daughter is 28 and works as a producer for TV, our son is 37, married and is a lawyer. We have the most adorable 4 year old granddaughter who is our sunshine!

We love our apartment, our neighborhood and have raised our children here. We love to read, go to the theatre, to museums, and take long walks and enjoy the beauty around us. Marty has a love for antique cars, plays tennis, and loves mystery novels. I love decorating and beautiful colors and design excite me, which you can see reflected in our apartment.Since I work with trauma, which can be very difficult, it is important to me to surround myself with beauty and loving relationships to nourish and sustain me.
