About our home

The spectacular view of San Diego Bay and our city skyline is one of the best features of our home. You'll want to sip your coffee on our deck in the morning and enjoy a glass of wine in the same place in the evening.

We have a beautiful 2-story, 280 sq. meter (3,000 sq ft) home in a quiet family neighborhood in the center of San Diego. There are three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a glorious king-size Tempurpedic mattress. In addition, there's a family room on the ground floor that includes two twin beds and a private bath. Throughout the house there are enough beds for a total of seven people. The ground floor is perfect for adult children; it feels like a studio apartment. Our home is built on a hill and the ground floor has French doors that open onto our backyard, where I harvest vegetables from a small organic garden.

Our furnishings are traditional, relaxed and cozy. You will feel at home here.

You'll like the fact that our home is close to many of the top San Diego tourist attractions: 5 minutes to Sea World http://seaworldparks.com/seaworld-sandiego, 30 minutes to Legoland http://california.legoland.com/, 1 hour to Disneyland http://disneyland.disney.go.com/.

Only 15 minutes from our home is our wonderful Balboa Park. Where you'll find, art, music, theater and the zoo!

The 100-acre (40-hectare) San Diego Zoo is home to over 3,700 rare and endangered animals representing more than 650 species and subspecies, and a prominent botanical collection with more than 700,000 exotic plants. It is located just north of downtown San Diego in Balboa Park. www.sandiegozoo.org

If you love "the theata" you will adore The Old Globe. The internationally-acclaimed, Tony® Award-winning Old Globe is one of the most renowned regional theatres in the country, and has stood as San Diego’s flagship arts institution for over 75 years. It is also located in Balboa Park. There are usually two plays running in one of the three theaters. www.oldglobe.org

The San Diego Museum of Art, the region’s oldest, largest and most visited art museum, provides a rich and diverse cultural experience. Located in the heart of beautiful Balboa Park, the Museum’s nationally renowned permanent collection includes Spanish and Italian old masters, South Asian paintings, and 19th- and 20th-century American paintings and sculptures. www.sdmart.org

Birch Aquarium at Scripps is the public exploration center for the world-renowned Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego. Perched on a bluff in La Jolla, overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the aquarium features more than 60 habitats of fishes and invertebrates. www.aquarium.ucsd.edu
