Aquar­i­ans are blessed with count­less amounts of ener­gy, so to make them feel tru­ly ful­filled in their adven­tures, they usu­al­ly pre­fer a packed trav­el sched­ule. So where bet­ter to get some of your ener­gy out, than by explor­ing the ancient won­ders of Machu Picchu?! 

As an air sign, Aquar­i­ans often have a strong desire to seek out places with spir­i­tu­al­i­ty and har­mo­ny at their cen­tre. With a dose of aston­ish­ing his­to­ry and some of the best nat­ur­al beau­ty that South Amer­i­ca has to offer, Machu Pic­chu is there­fore the per­fect spot for your next big adventure. 

There are many ways to reach Machu Pic­chu, the most famous being the Inca Trail which pass­es by 500-year-old archae­o­log­i­cal sites and excep­tion­al­ly love­ly scenery. This tru­ly unfor­get­table expe­ri­ence offers the chance to embark on a four-day hike, which in total is around twen­ty-six miles! Don’t wor­ry, you don’t have to be an Olympic ath­lete to com­plete the trek, but as the inclines are often steep, you do need a pret­ty good lev­el of fit­ness. Costs and pop­u­lar­i­ty depend on whether you’re trav­el­ling in the dry or wet sea­son, but regard­less of when you’re plan­ning on vis­it­ing, we’d rec­om­mend book­ing sig­nif­i­cant­ly in advance as places are lim­it­ed and the trek quick­ly gets booked up. Alter­na­tive­ly, if that sounds a lit­tle exhaust­ing or you’re short on time and you’d rather just get to the ruins and back in a day, then you can do so by tak­ing a train.

With a deep intel­lec­tu­al and curi­ous streak run­ning through Aquar­ius, many Aquar­i­ans will active­ly hunt out vaca­tions that will stim­u­late them intel­lec­tu­al­ly. So we’d chal­lenge you to find a loca­tion more ide­al than Berlin! Hav­ing been through great his­tor­i­cal changes, Berlin not only offers an inter­est­ing polit­i­cal past, but it also has a pletho­ra of great gal­leries and muse­ums to explore. 

There are some parts of Berlin that sim­ply should not be missed, such as the remains of the Berlin Wall. While much of the Wall has thank­ful­ly been dis­man­tled, there are still key rem­nants which stand as a reminder of the post-war atmos­phere in the city. Many peo­ple choose to vis­it the East Side Gallery which is home to 1.3km of the wall, much of which is dec­o­rat­ed with icon­ic murals. 

Next up, we think that Aquar­i­ans will enjoy see­ing the Weltzeituhr Clock while wan­der­ing around the city. This clock dis­plays times from var­i­ous cities around the world – which is ide­al for big-thinker Aquar­i­ans who like to imag­ine what life might be like on the oth­er side of the world! 

If you real­ly feel like turn­ing back the clock and pic­tur­ing life from eons ago, you can dine at the his­toric Zur Let­zten Instanz, which is a 16^th cen­tu­ry restau­rant that used to be fre­quent­ed by the likes of Napoleon and Beethoven! Dive into the deli­cious local cui­sine, and let cen­turies of his­to­ry wash over you. 

Aquar­i­ans aren’t inter­est­ed in small talk or the super­fi­cials in life – they want to be inspired by the big­ger expe­ri­ences, so how bet­ter to embrace that side of your per­son­al­i­ty than by wit­ness­ing a spec­tac­u­lar nat­ur­al phe­nom­e­na?! Step for­ward the North­ern Lights – in par­tic­u­lar when seen from Lap­land, which is such a mag­i­cal and enchant­i­ng place. In fact, Lap­land will feel like a utopi­an par­adise to Aquar­i­ans, as while it is a place of out­stand­ing beau­ty, it is also home to some of Finland’s largest ski resorts and a hub of mod­ern tech­nol­o­gy. There are many things to see and do in Lap­land, but one of our top sug­ges­tions would be to see the North­ern Lights via a pri­vate tour, which will take you away from the light pol­lu­tion and give you the best chance of spot­ting the auro­ra bore­alis. Anoth­er fas­ci­nat­ing and amaz­ing thing for spir­i­tu­al Aquar­i­ans to see are the Amethyst Mines. You can either see these via a tour on a spe­cialised win­ter vehi­cle or, for the more adven­tur­ous, a snow­shoe hike! Last­ly, if you are feel­ing real­ly adven­tur­ous, then burn off some of your end­less ener­gy with a husky sled­ding expe­ri­ence. You will be spoilt for choice with the amount of places that offer this won­der­ful experience. 

Last, but not least, a slight­ly dif­fer­ent sug­ges­tion. As rather than stay­ing in one place, we think rebel­lious Aquar­i­ans should embrace their pro­gres­sive sides and hop in the car for an epic US road trip.
