Who doesn't love a beach holiday?
No matter what time of year, somewhere in the world there is always a warm, sunny beach destination calling our name. We have chosen what we think to be the top ten beaches in the world - all with some of our amazing homes close-by for the perfect getaway.
1. Whitehaven, Queensland, Australia
Located on Whitsunday Island, this 7km long beach boasts crystal clear waters and pristine white sand. In the heart of the Great Barrier Reef, this beautiful beach offers more than just a day lazing around on the sand. Snorkel in the turquoise waters or sail the seas - a day spent here and you'll never want to leave.
2. Anse Chastanet, St Lucia
Regarded as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, Anse Chastanet is home to sweeping white sands and aquamarine waters. Lounge under the woven parasols and just try and take in the breath taking views of the volcanic landscape. We'll take a one-way ticket, please!
3. St Paul Bay, St Paul, Reunion Island
On the west of the island is this outstanding black sand beach. The surrounding waters brim with sea life whilst the rare black sand simply adds to this beach's sheer beauty.
4. Taling Ngam, Koh Samui, Thailand
One of the lesser developed areas of Koh Samui, this bay is ideal for relaxation. Situated literally miles away from tourist-spots (and most of civilization), days here are spent sunbathing and swimming, all whilst enjoying the vast clear waters and the serene silence.
5. Playa Chacala, Chacala, Mexico
Just 60 miles north of the bustling Puerto Vallarta, this half-moon bay boasts an unhurried and beautiful lifestyle. The golden sands contrast with the sapphire blue waters, making this spot undeniably outstanding. Perfect for beach bunnies and sea dwellers alike.
6. Praia da Marinha, Algarve, Portugal
Most people assume European beaches to be full of flying parasols and footballs hitting innocent beachgoers. Praia da Marinha offers the complete opposite. Home to some of the most beautifully blue waters and glorious golden sands, this spot is one of the Algarve's best kept secrets.
7. West Bay Beach, West Bay, Honduras
The Caribbean dream - this beach is busier than others, but with its inviting waters and immaculate sand we can understand why. There are many activities also available all along the beach, including fishing and snorkeling. West Bay truly has something fun for everyone - even those who aren't a fan of sunbathing (if they really exist).
8. Isola Bella, Taormina, Sicily
This once private small island is located in the idyllic town of Taormina. Known as 'The Pearl of the Ionian Sea', this small beach is unrivalled in Sicily. Relax on the warm sand whilst surrounded by quaint terracotta houses and other fellow beach enthusiasts - and, if you're lucky, you may also get to see the overwhelming Mt Etna erupting in the distance.
9. Camp's Bay Beach, Cape Town, South Africa
Possibly the trendiest beach on the list, Camp's Bay Beach very occasionally plays hosts to celebrities and other beautiful people. The white sands make this the perfect destination for lazy beach days, whilst the turquoise-blue waters invite the obligatory dip or swim to cool off on the very, very hot summer days.
10. Anna Marie Island, Florida, US
Untouched and serene, this 7-mile beach allows quiet and relaxation even during the busiest seasons. Step back to old-time Florida and spend the days here basking in the sheer magnificence of the white, almost sparkling, sands. Bliss.
