We see some truly remarkable properties at Love Home Swap, but every now & again, we see something that really breaks the mould. With that in mind, here are eight of our wild card properties you should definitely consider swapping with.
1- The wild house
This one really puts the 'wild' in wild card. This colonial house in Hippo Point shares its residency with around 1,200 different species of animals and is the perfect for letting go of your busy everyday life and really relaxing in nature.
2 - The castle
If grandeur is what you're looking for, look no further, this chateau in Rhone-Alpes should tick all the boxes.
3 - The treehouse
This tree house in British Colombia, charmingly named 'Outa-the-Woods' is a quirky holiday alternative for couples with their heads in the cloud. With spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains, this one's for nature-lovers.
4 - The tent
This property is so much more than a tent. In fact, this traditional Mongolian yurt in Essex is 21ft and comes with a wood-burning stove, barbeque and private hot tub, so everything's taken care of, including you.
5 - The windmill
This converted windmill in Merseyside was loving restored over a period of five years and the effort certainly shows. Just five miles from exciting Liverpool and close to the beautiful beaches of Crosby, this quirky home is an ideal getaway.
6 - The eco-house
This eco-house in Hawaii might not look like the wildest option on our list, but it represents total off the grid living. The power is supplied by solar panels and the water by a catchment. You'll also only have one neighbour. Don't worry though, even here there's mobile phone signal.
7 - The church
On the outside this 'Grand Designs' featured church conversion in Jersey looks like a regular church, but on the inside the décor is light, bright and thoroughly modern. If the fact it's a church isn't enough to convince you to stay here, it comes complete with a home cinema, Jacuzzi and a glass roof for star gazing. Amen.
8 - The 'floating house'
When they call this a floating house, they mean it quite literally. The Harpy, formerly HMS Harpy, is a former Customs and Exercise Pontoon Office and is one of only a few privately owned 'landing stages'. This unusual home sits on the Thames and has incredible views of Tower Bridge and the city's skyline.
So, if you fancy something a little different for this year's holidays, now you know exactly where to look.
