How do I earn Points with Instant?

Add available dates to your Instant calendar to earn Points with Instant.

We’ll give you Points up front for the dates you add. Their value is determined by our Instant algorithm, which takes into account your home’s location, features and seasonality.

How do I add available dates to my Instant calendar?

You can find your Instant calendar in the My Homes section of your account.

Use the calendar to select arrival and departure dates for the booking.

You will then be able to confirm your dates before you receive your Points.

Available dates must last between 2 and 7 nights. You will have 30 nights to add in total.

Where can I find my Instant calendar?

You can find your Instant calendar in the My Homes section of your account.

How do I add more dates?

You can return to your Instant calendar in the My Homes section of your account.

You will then be able to confirm your dates before you receive your Points.

Available dates must last between 2 and 7 nights.

You will have 30 nights to add in total. Once people come to stay those nights are added back to your balance.   

Can I change my home’s Points per night value?

Your Points per night value for Instant is a calculation based on its features and location. Seasonality is now included in this figure also. You earn more Points for adding dates at more popular times.

This is a fixed value for Instant. You can flex your Points as normal when organising Points swaps.

Do I really get Points straight away for adding dates?

Yes. You really do.

For adding available dates to your Instant calendar, we’ll give you Points up front. The number of Points is determined by our Instant algorithm, which takes into account your home’s location, features and seasonality.

Dates you add will be there to be booked instantly by other Instant users. You can use your Points straight away. You can keep them even if your home is not booked.

Does Instant affect my normal Points listing?

No. You can still travel using Points without Instant. You can still flex your Points for normal Points swaps.

However, dates you add as available to your Instant calendar will be blocked out in your classic calendar

Are there any restrictions on adding dates?

There are some restrictions in place for adding dates:

  • Available dates added must last between 2 and 7 nights
  • You can add dates between 3 and 18 months in advance
  • You can add up to 30 nights. Nights will be added back to your total after you have finished hosting the swap
  • You can only add available dates during your membership

What happens when another member books my home?

Great. You’ve received a booking! You should receive an email letting you know your dates have been booked using Instant.

You will have an open discussion ready to iron out the details with your guest. We recommend sending them a friendly hello message after receiving the booking.

Guests will be prompted to check your house rules before booking. But you do have 48 hours in which you can decline to host them, just in case they don't abide by your house rules. If you wouldn’t like guests to bring children or pets please make this clear on your profile.    

On the dates booked, they will stay in your home like a Points or direct swap.

What happens if nobody books my home?

In the unlikely event you receive no booking for the available dates added, you will not notice any change. The Points you initially received will still be yours to use

Where can I manage my Instant dates?

You can add available dates to your Instant calendar any time. You can find your Instant calendar in the My Homes section of your account.

Instant starts with you. Once available dates are added to your Instant calendar, they cannot be changed. Only add dates to your Instant calendar when you are certain you can host.

I need to change the dates I have added to my Instant calendar. How can I do this?

You will have 24 hours to change your dates after adding them to your Instant calendar. If you need to edit available dates already added to your Instant calendar, contact our team at info@lovehomeswap.com

I can no longer host. How do I cancel a booked Instant swap?

Instant starts with you. Once available dates are added to your Instant calendar, they cannot be changed. Only add dates to your Instant calendar when you are certain you can host.

Can my place be booked last minute?

Guests will be able to book the Instant slots you add to your calendar up to 7 days before the start date.
