About our home

I offer a recently renovated apartment in central Adelaide. It is located on the ground and first floor levels with front and rear balconies and small rear courtyard. It has all modern conveniences (no cable TV) and I let it commercially from time to time. There are 2 bicycles. The city is flat and it is easy to ride a bicycle in the city, surrounding parklands and to the ocean along cycle paths.

I am looking for places for myself and my friend for stays of one to two weeks in July 2018 and also between mid May to mid August 2019.

In exchange, I am offering my apartment in Adelaide, Australia from the end of June to mid August 2018 and from mid May to September 2019.

  1. I am a retired professional in good health and like doing active things and seeing new places. I like to go to Europe each year to see my daughter and her husband and their 2 daughters who live in London. Sometimes I holiday with them (5 or 6 of us) somewhere in Europe at other times just with my friend (2 of us).

    In 2018 my friend and I are hoping to spend a week or two in July in the French countryside, Spain or Italy. Surprise me with your suggestion.

    I am flexible with the timing of your visit to Adelaide. The photos provided in this listing are of the 2 bedroom apartment that I live in.

Neighbourhood

Enjoy the best of both worlds - a quiet location facing extensive parklands within 10 minutes walk to one of the trendy café/restaurant areas and 30 minutes walk to art gallery, museum and botanic gardens.

If you like the arts enjoy the theatre, cinemas, cabaret shows and al fresco dining. If you are a cyclist, enjoy the easy access a bicycle offers.
The beach is 20 minutes drive away and 3 wine regions are 1-2 hours away.

Hutt Street is a short walk where there are restaurants, cafes, banks and supermarkets providing all your daily needs.
Retail therapy
The main shopping precinct is Rundle Mall, within walking distance or jump on the free bus.
Bit of culture
The South Australian Museum, Art Gallery, Library and Botanic Gardens are all within walking distance - or use the bicycles provided.
Walks in the park
The apartment is opposite an extensive network of parks that surround the city centre.
Spot of exercise
There is exercise equipment in the park opposite, available for public use at no cost.
Day tripping
Visit 3 wine districts, southern Feurieu Peninsula beaches, Kangaroo Island and the Adelaide Hills.
