Our spacious home is a mix of rural meets contemporary; surrounded by lush green bushland in a peaceful location. A short 3 minute walk through rainforest to the local 7km beach.
Just down the road is historic 1770 which is your portal to the southern Great Barrier Reef, as well as a boating, fishing and swimming paradise.
The area is particularly known for its Eco tourism and for the beautiful national parks and unspoilt beaches, as well as it being the northern most surf break in Australia.
Our beautiful 2 -storey contemporary vibrant beach home is nestled on the coastal peninsula of Agnes Water /1770 in central Queensland.
It's peaceful and lush surrounds make you feel a million miles away, while you listen to the sounds of the waves crashing on the 7km beach just a 3mins walk away, yet it is also just a short walk to shops, cafes and restaurants, and 5 minute drive to the historic town of 1770.
Our home is unusually spacious, boasting a massive 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, open plan lounge / kitchen and dining area, a second entertainment/ parents/kids retreat room downstairs, double lock up garage, laundry, front and back deck areas and front and rear gardens.
Our home is as functional as it is spacious, with all the mod-cons and technologies that you would expect, including a fully decked chef's kitchen, with gas stove and oven complete with rotisserie, and all kitchen appliances including a high powered blender, cold press juicer and food processor.
For technology you have Wi-Fi, Blu-ray DVD, Apple TV, a 55 inch flat screen LED 3D TV upstairs with a surround sound 7 speaker and 2 amp system attached.
Downstairs there is a 42 inch flat screen, DVD player and Wii U gaming console and games.
For the outdoors we have a front lawn for ball games, a trampoline, swing set, sandpit and slide with cubby house for the kids, bikes for all the family, and surfboards and body boards for those who like getting wet, along with snorkelling gear. At the right time of year you will be able to pick mangoes from our two huge mango trees, or papayas, bananas or citrus fruits. There are always fresh culinary herbs growing on our front deck that you are welcome to include in your cooking.
There is always a place and a space in our house to find some peace and serenity and relax or chill out with a good book or glass of wine.
You can choose from curling up on the huge lounge couch, to the daybed on the front deck, hanging out in the hanging egg chair, laying in the hammock or just sitting and relaxing on the back deck and watching some of our local wildlife which can include, wallabies and kangaroos, tropical birds, tree frogs and lizards, and more!
All the rooms are inviting, cool and spacious, with a lovely sea breeze blowing through most days, there is no need for air conditioning, although we have three of them! Every room has a ceiling fan for more comfort as well.
Each room has its own colour theme and special feeling, so you can choose where you want to be, by how you feel, moment to moment.
The three single rooms are themed as jungle, tiger and ocean ( which has the aquarium in), so your children can choose what kind of adventure they would like to play and sleep in every day!
The upper storey has beautiful timber and floating wood floors throughout, giving it a warmth and naturalness, as does the huge slab of red gum timber that serves as our kitchen bench.
It is a lovely mix of rural meets modern.
The two queen rooms both have ensuites, the main ensuite having a double shower. Main bathroom has a rainforest feel with a bath and shower.
Both the main queen room and ocean room have sliding doors out onto the front deck for easy access, as does the main living room.
Access to the back deck is through the back kitchen door, to what is essentially another huge living space, just outdoors. It has a roof for shade, the breeze for ventilation, a gorgeous view of the bushland surrounding us and additional back deck access via the side steps down the LHS of the house.
Agnes water main beach is a quick and gorgeous walk away through a little pocket of rainforest. Then you find yourself on a vast and unspoilt stretch of beach and ocean. It is the most northern surfing beach on the east coast, and has a lovely safe beach break, suitable for short and long boarding.
It is a patrolled beach at one end for safe swimming, and the rest of the beach is open to surfing, kite boarding, dog walking and peace-seeking.
As the area is known for its Eco-tourism, you won't find any high rise apartment or hotel buildings here, just clean untouched pristine sand dunes and waves.
There are other beautiful beaches and coves within walking distance of main beach, or just a short car or bike ride.
There are two national parks that can be explored as well, that border Agnes Water on two sides and a large golf course just outside town.
On the other is the historic town of 1770 which is famous for its captain cook landing in the year 1770. (Picture turquoise water with white sand bars and moored boats bobbing up and down)..
Nowadays it is the hub of everything fishing and boating including day trips to the southern Great Barrier Reef and its many islands, particularly
Lady Musgrave Island ( http://lmcruises.com.au )

Around 1770 you can walk the beautiful Boardwalk, stop for a cuppa, ice cream, meal, beer or wine along the way, or hire a kayak or SUP board for the more adventurous.
It is a lovely calm flat piece of water free from waves, and very safe for young children to paddle and swim.
You can also drive up to the headland for breathtaking views, walks and sunsets.
There is a marina with a cafe and where all the boats, recreational and commercial leave for their fishing and exploring trips. Fishing charters are popular.
There is also a local market fortnightly that offers crafts and fruit and vegetables, a golf course, bowling, museum, and heaps more.
Whatever you are into, young or old, adventurous or more sedentary, this area has all the ingredients of a peaceful or exciting holiday and Eco-tourism destination.
