“Stayed 3 weeks FEB 2020. - WOW - Its in our top 5!!! What an amazing location. If you are a beach person this is the perfect exchange. Since joining HFE we have experienced more than 40 exchanges to all parts of the world and this one is definitely in our top 5. Communication with Louanne was effective clear and simple, the home is exactly as per the photos (Including a perfect North facing balcony overlooking Alexandra Headland Beach where we spent hours watching the surfers and relaxing with a cup of tea at sunrise, or a wine at sunset. The beautiful apartment is walking distance to EVERYTHING, surf club, cafes, bars, the local pub and a 5 minute walk over the headland to Mooloolaba and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We have stayed on Australia's Sunshine coast many times but this spot has now become our favourite beach spot in the world. Thanks guys, hope we can come back again. About our home
Our holiday apartment is located at Alexandra Headland, overlooking the beach. It is situated 100 kms (1 hour drive) North of Brisbane on the Sunshine Coast, which boasts over 100 kilometres of pristine white sandy beaches stretching from Caloundra to Noosa Heads. It has a living area, kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms with great views over the surf beach and the northern coastline. The apartment has been recently renovated and has a queen bed in the main bedroom, which has views of the water. The second bedroom has two single beds. The kitchen is compact and has modern appliances. The laundry has a washing machine and dryer. The furnishings are modern and comfortable.
The balcony is private and protected from the weather and seats six people. There is a barbeque on the balcony where you can grill and bake. There is a large swimming pool and spa set in the tropical gardens.
The Life Saver patrolled 'Alex Headland' beach is only 200 mtrs walk, with great beach facilities. Lots of Cafes Restaurants and shops are an easy walk. Local bus stop is 50 mtrs.

We are an adventurous, retired, married couple in our late sixties who have travelled extensively. We recently purchased our holiday apartment with a view to house swapping each year. Because this apartment is our second home we are able to facilitate non simultaneous swaps.
Apart from travelling, our interests include cycling, walking, gardening, playing music, Sax, flute & Ukulele, Bass, swimming, surfing and collecting motorcycles.
We have also done a lot of motorcycle and auto trips all over the world.

Where is it?
Neighbourhood
The Sunshine Coast has a relaxed, casual lifestyle. It has endless beaches and a warm sunny climate, so you can enjoy water sports all year round. Sailing and Surfing are popular. There are a number of surf schools, nearby where adults and children can learn to surf and a number of boat hire. Diving and snorkelling are also popular. There are many rivers, lakes and inlets in the area with calm waters where you can fish, kayak, swim, or stand up-paddle board or sail.
The Sunshine Coast Hinterland has rolling hills, and is full of natural beauty. There are national parks, trails, cosy cafes, markets and boutiques. Steve Irwin's world famous "Australia Zoo" is a short bus ride or drive from Alexandra Headland. Underwater world is a short walk. There are several theme parks in the area. Frazer Island, the world heritage sand island is accessible by car or organised trip. There are many fine restaurants with great food and wine in the region.
Brisbane is 100 kilometres away and offers all the amenities of a modern city. There are a number of public transport options connecting Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast. There are daily direct air flights from Sydney and Melbourne to our local Airport.
