About our home

Our house is a large family home with spacious landscaped back garden in the leafy suburb of Ashwood, 10 miles from the centre of Melbourne.
Our home comprises of two levels. Entry level is a master bedroom with ensuite and 2 additional bedrooms; one with a single bed and the other with a double sofa bed and cot/toddler bed. The living area is open plan and very spacious encompasing living, dining and kitchen. Sliding doors open out onto a large back verandah/deck which has an outdoor dining and living area with views over the treetops. There is also a spacious shower room and laundry. Downstairs is a second master bedroom with ensuite and a large rumpus/playroom. Double doors from this room lead out onto a huge undercover patio with outdoor dining area and BBQ (the outdoor table is able to seat 8). Well kept gardens front and back create a relaxing environment.
The house is recently renovated to a very high standard and has heating/cooling throughout. It is very child friendly with all the equipment necessary to cater for and entertain small children, i.e. high chair, stairgates and safety devices, toys, bikes and a cubbyhouse.
The house is on a quiet street in Ashwood/Ashburton, a suburb south east of Melbourne ideally located for easy access to the beach, Melbourne city centre, the Mount Dandenong Ranges (all within 30mins drive). The Mornington Peninsula and Yarra Valley wine region are within 90mins drive. Quick access to the freeway makes exploring other areas of Victoria easy including the Great Ocean Road and heading to the Mount Buller ski fields in winter.
The closest station is Ashburton; 3mins drive with free parking, or 20 min stroll. Ashburton is a lively shopping strip with a village feel and regular trains to the city.
The house backs onto a creek and walking/cycling trail, and has beautiful views across the tree tops from the upstairs verandah. A picturesque walk or cycle along this path will take you through leafy gardeners creek reserve, linking with the yarra river trail all the way to the city.
Two childrens playgrounds are located within a couple of minutes walk of the house.
