Manly has a world class choice of restaurants, bars and cafes, and the Sydney CBD is only a short ferry ride from Manly
Walks in the park
There are lots of great harbour and beach walks from the house to a range of interesting destinations
Spot of exercise
Everything from surfing, swimming, sailing to whale watching
Day tripping
As a quick bit of web surfing will show, there are an extensive array of historical, cultural, social, sporting, entertainment and tourist activities in and around Sydney. There also many exciting things to see and do that are within a day trip or 2-3 hour drive of Sydney (eg Blue Mountains, Canberra, Hunter Valley wineries, Kiama blow-hole, Rick Stein at Ulladulla)
