About our home

We live in a beautiful village, 4 hours north of Brisbane. It is close to good safe swimming beaches, and the Barrier Reef.
Our house is set in a gated community, for over 50,s, but can accommodate children.
We have a car which is available for your visit.
The villa has 2 bedrooms, both en-suite
The main bedroom has a sliding window and screen to the garden, with birds being the wake up call.
The 2nd bedroom is mainly used as a music room for Glen, and doubles as a sewing room for me.
The office has computer and WIFI, and we have a large 75 inch smart TV with Netflix etc...

Living dining and kitchen is all open plan, tiled floors throughout, leading to garden, and through kitchen to double garage, where there is laundry, with washing machine and dryer, clothesline outside.

Electricity and hot water is all solar powered, and there are ceiling fans and A/c units throughout the house.
We have great neighbours, always make you welcome, without being intrusive.

Where is it?

Our villa is located in a gated community ,near seaside village of Bargara , only 5 minutes drive or a 10 minute cycle ride along the seafront. Cycle paths have been provided by local council and the route is very picturesque, some times whales or dolphins can be seen breaching the surface of the sea.
Bargara golf course is nearby and enjoys greens of international standards.
The closest town is Bundaberg 14 kms away, and is famous for its Bundy rum production as well as the wonderful ginger beer. Boasting a good selection of shops and parks, Bundaberg is on the Burnett river, and is a favourite for yachts berthed here. There is a beautiful port near Bargara, where you can enjoy eating in the restaurant overlooking the Marina.
A good safe swimming beach 5 minutes away. The village has lots of small pavement cafes and restaurants.
There is a Doctors surgery, pharmacy, bakeries newsagent, butcher, and 2 good size supermarkets.
We have a large family car( Honda Accord), which could be made available.
Also have 2 bikes, and a golf cart to get around the resort.
This is a great area for snorkelling, and an ideal stating point for exploring the Great Barrier Reef. A bus/ car ride will take you to the town 1770, where you can board a boat which will take you to Lady Musgrave Island, Lady Elliot or Fitzroy reef, which is fabulous for diving and snorkelling.
