About our home

Our home has 4 queen size bedrooms, one sofa bed that sleeps two, two bathrooms, separate toilet, a large rumpus room downstairs, entertaining deck with bar-b-q and large inground swimming pool. The house is on 1 1/2 acres but only 2 kilometres from the centre of the beautiful town of Beerwah, home to Bindi Irwin's Australia Zoo. Beerwah is nestled in the scenic Glasshouse Mountains, an hour from brisbane on the train or 30mins drive to the Sunshine Coast Beaches of Caloundra and Mooloolabah. The home is two story with air conditioning in the main lounge room and fans in the bedrooms. Beerwah never gets really cold except maybe early July. If you want to experience a slice of Australian bush, yet be a minute away from supermarkets etc this is the place for you. It is like you are in a treehouse in the forest and this unique location is why we have lived here 24 years. We love the serenity but want the convenience of a nice meal out.

More about us

  1. Mike is an air traffic controller and volunteer fireman, Sue is an emergency department nurse.

  2. We have two children, our daughter lives in New York City and our son lives in Vancouver at the moment. No pets but lots of wildlife and birds are on our acreage.

  3. I love quilting, bushwalks, movies and Mike loves all things to do with aeroplanes and the fire brigade. He also goes mountain biking. We love travel and as we are nearing retirement age hope to spend extended periods overseas.
