About our home

Modest, quiet, fully renovated flat in art deco building. Front door off quiet street, back door to secluded garden shared between the 6 flats in the block. Stays lovely and cool in the heat of the summer. Gas oven and hob. Two double bedrooms, instant hot water in the bathroom and kitchen.
I had 2 great long swaps in 2015 -to Rio de Janeiro and south of France, and a points stay in Scotland and swap to Rotterdam in the Netherlands in 2016 and2 weeks in Tokyo and 10 in Slovenia in 2017.
Now looking to 2018 when my annual leave will be from late August to October - interested in any offers -short or long swaps. Europe is always nice to meet up with my Scottish family. South America? Western Australia? Asia? Weekends in other parts of New South Wales at any time in the year? If you are only 2 people, and don't mind sharing my flat with me, then non-simultaneous swaps might work at other times (I work shifts, and am out A LOT, so it would almost be like having the place to yourself). Check out my airbnb profile https://www.airbnb.com.au/rooms/653240?s=vEioO-xf for guest reviews to confirm this, and to confirm location, cleanliness etc.
I prefer homes that are easily accessible via public transport to visit.

Bondi Junction is the hub of Sydney's eastern suburbs. Less than a half hour walk to several amazing beaches, including Bondi, Tamarama and Bronte. Very regular buses to everywhere, and trains to the city(15 minutes) and beyond - for example, the Blue Mountains are only two hours away, the Royal National Park to the south and Kurangi to the north - both great for bush walking - are less than an hour away. All the shops and eateries you could want are in Bondi Junction or suburbs around. You can have anything from $3 Asian takeaway to gourmet, any culture. Get on a bus in Bondi Junction, (5 minutes walk to the bus stop from my place), and you can get off at Circular Quay, and see Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House 20 minutes later. With a local Opal travel card, every Sunday you can travel as far as the Blue Mountains or Kiama and back, or hop on and off as many trains, buses and ferries as you want for $2.50.
