About our home

Quiet, fully renovated flat in art deco building. Front door downstairs off quiet street, back door to secluded garden shared between the 6 flats in the block. Stays lovely and cool in the heat of the summer. New eat-in kitchen with gas oven and stone worktops installed in 2017. Two double bedrooms, both with small TV and DVD player. Instant hot water (gas) in the bathroom and kitchen. Wooden floorboards throughout.

Bondi Junction is the hub of Sydney's eastern suburbs. My place is less than a half hour walk to several amazing beaches, including Bondi, Tamarama and Bronte. Very regular buses to everywhere, and trains to the city(15 minutes) and beyond - for example, the Blue Mountains are only two hours away, the Royal National Park to the south and Kurangi to the north - both great for bush walking - are less than an hour away. All the shops and eateries you could want are in Bondi Junction or suburbs around. You can have anything from $3 Asian takeaway to gourmet, any culture. Get on a bus in Bondi Junction, (5 minutes walk to the bus stop from my place), and you can get off at Circular Quay, and see Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House in a short time. With a local Opal travel card, every Sunday you can travel as far as the Blue Mountains or Kiama and back, or hop on and off as many trains, buses and ferries as you want for $2.50.

I had 2 great long swaps in 2015 -to Rio de Janeiro and south of France, a points stay in Glasgow and swap to Rotterdam in the Netherlands in 2016 and direct swaps 2 weeks in Tokyo and 10 in Slovenia in 2017, as well as a point swap in Edinburgh. ln 2018 l had a week in Adelaide, 3 weeks in Nottingham UK, and 2 in Tenerife. In all, l have had over 30 simultaneous swaps, with only one negative experience, but not all from my current home, or on this site.

I am open to all offers for 2019. Looking at New Zealand south island for the last week in March, and anywhere in Europe around September/October. Would consider short local swaps anytime.

If you are interested I coming to my place on a points swap, its 100 points per night, but that is just for one double bedroom and sharing the rest of the house with me....unless l happen to be away, which l often am, and then you would have the whole place to yourselves.

Check out my airbnb profile for guest reviews to confirm location, cleanliness etc.

I prefer homes that are easily accessible via public transport to visit.
