Very quiet and leafy neighborhood. The house backs onto a very large park and beyond that a creek. The house has a large verandah that overlooks the park. The park is frequented regularly by joggers, cyclists and families. Some parts of the park are used for hockey, soccer, softball and netball during the playing seasons.
The city is a 30min walk, a 15min cycle ride or 5min by car. There is a train station 200m away with two stops to the city. There are numerous resturaunts and shops within walking distance.
Brisbane has a beautiful river with numerous cafe's and resturaunts, plenty of theatres and shows, and a man-made beach at southbank that rests along the side of the river overlooked by the city.

The nearby Manly marina is the second largest in Australia. ou can hire a boat and explore the nearby islands.
Moreton bay is an hours boat ride away, there at Tangalooma resort you can feed the dolpins or catch a whale watching cruise.
The Gold Coast is a 45min drive south which has several major theme parks, Sea World, Movie World, Wet'n'Wild, and numerous other shows, endless beaches, surfers paradise shop to you drop malls.
The sunshine coast is a 1 hour drive north with beautiful beaches, and a bustling hinterland.
I am, an English turned Aussie, mature professional MBA qualified Engineer/Project Manager. My wife is a physiotherapist at the nearby Childrens hospital. We have two children 8 and 10 years who live with us and we have annual visitors from our older children and relatives who normally reside in Europe.
We are well travelled, love to try new places, and every chance we get we visit the glorious whitsundays with its 73 islands (a short flight away), tasmania, or new zealand. On quiet weekends we head up or down the coast to the numerous beaches.
