About our home

Brisbane inner city comfy 3 bedroom home is situated in a quiet peaceful street in the northern suburb of Albion. The Airtrain from Brisbane International Airport to Albion takes just 15 Minutes, and our home is a 2 minute walk from the station.
Trains to Sunshine and Gold Coast are also a 2 minute walk to station
Major shopping centres are close by and accessible by either train or bus.
Great restaurants are within walking distance Your choice of large retail shopping centres with fantastic shopping are just a 15 minute bus or train ride away. Golf courses are nearby, the most popular being Victoria Park complex, which is home to an 18 hole USGA rated par 65 golf course, driving range, 18 hole putt putt, and bistro. ( No membership is required to enjoy a round of golf at this favourite golf course.)
We also have a loveable friendly cat called Muscles, who just loves company and makes guests feel very welcome.

  1. I am a retired widow, have 2 children and 3 adorable grandchildren I am interested in doing a direct

  2. Before retiring, my husband and I worked in the travel industry and were lucky to live in various parts of the world. We also owned an International trade magazine and ran a trade show for the swimming pool industry.
    I did some volunteer work in Zimbabwe over a period of 3 years, and once the locals were given the opportunity to farm the land and become self sufficient
    I am interested in doing simultaneous swaps - and am free most of the year to travel

From fine dining to take away - Brisbane has it all!
Albion village is in walking distance from home and offers a variety of restaurants: Spanish, Italian, Asian and many more. Albion Hotel is a favourite with locals and provides a gathering spot to meet up and enjoy 'a tinnie or two." Friday nights Eat Street Markets at Portside is a popular place to visit.
For those who prefer fine dining , Eagle Street Pier is the place to go. Located in the heart of Brisbane, this precinct has many multi award winning restaurants.-two that come to mind are "Aria' and "Il Centro". Casual dining is also available.
The Brisbane CBD is a foodies paradise, with everything from burger joints and riverside bistros, to laneway bars and restaurants.
South Bank, situated on the Brisbane River, offers an array of cafes, pubs, bars, take aways and gourmet eateries to suit any taste.
Westfield Shopping centre has a choice of cafes and restaurants.

Retail therapy
Lutwyche City, a 15 minute walk( or bus) from home. Retailers include a supermarket, chemist, post office etc Westfield Centre, a short bus ride, has a broad mix of retailers - 135 in all - including fashion, beauty, lifestyle, Events Cinema to name but a few. Brisbane CBD is home to over 1,000 retailers, where some of Brisbanes best boutique shopping is to be found. Paddington is another popular boutique shopping area. Southbank weekend markets are popular with locals and visitors alike.
Bit of culture
Situated in the vicinity of South Bank’s Cultural Centre, Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) is one of Australia’s leading centres for live performance, both national and international. Queensland Art Gallery, Gallery of Modern Art along with the Museum & Science Centre are also located in the Cultural Centre.
Walks in the park
There are many parks in and around Brisbane. Kalinga Park close by, The Botanical Gardens in the CBD and Southbank to name just a few.
Spot of exercise
Gyms are to be found in most shopping centres, council parks have work out exercise equipment. Free Council bicycles stations are found in various spots around the CBD Or if you dont fancy anything so strenuous, you can choose to zip around Brisbane on a 1 or two hour tour on a fun self balancing Segway
Day tripping
DAY TRIPS Take a leisurely river cruise along Brisbane City to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary Cuddle a Koala, hand feed kangaroos and meet the native animals Visit the home of the Crocodile Hunter – Australia Zoo. Watch live feedings and demonstrations including the croc-snapping Wildlife Warrior Show. Activities abound on Moreton Island. From sandboarding,down the islands sand dunes, snorkel alongside an abundance of marine life, or take a kayak trip around the Tangalooma shipwrecks The famous Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast beaches are renowned for their golden sand, and a choice of either surf or calm waters. South Bank Parklands is located on the banks of the Brisbane River. Catch a ferry whilst you are there and travel to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, or just enjoy the 17 hectares of lush parklands. Southbank has a sparkling lagoon pool, world-class eateries, walking tracks ,and licensed picnic areas The outdoor night markets operate Friday to Sunday evenings and showcase locally made crafts, jewellery, art , home décor and clothing . Seaworld, Movieworld, WetnWild and Dreamworld theme parks are just an hours drive south of Brisbane Explore the natural beauty of Lamington National Park at Mt Tamborine, were you can take a tree top walk and see the Pacific ocean
