Our house is 11 years old,small but comfortable, low set, brick, security screens and fly screens, dead locks on all doors, reverse cycle air conditioning in the living area. 3 bedrooms, all with ceiling fans. The main bedroom has a queen size bed, ensuite and walk in robe. At the far end of the house are 2 more bedrooms, one with double bed and the other has a single bed and roll out bed. The bathroom for these 2 bedrooms has a bath and separate shower, the toilet is in a separate room. The kitchen has a double electric oven, gas cook top, double sink and dish washer.
The lounge room has a TV, DVD, and Video player. Separate dining room. A small covered patio at the side of the house is ideal for casual meals. The laundry has an automatic washing machine and clothes drier.
Quiet, Park at the end of the street, 15 min walk to railway station and bus. The nearest shopping centre (5 mins drive) has post office supermarket, chemist, clothing stores, variety store,s hairdressers, jewellers, shoe shops, butcher, fruit shop, bread shop etc. A second and major shopping centre (10 mins drive) extends for 2 kilometers and has everything you could need including 15 cinemas.
One hour drive to the north is Caloundra the start of the "Sunshine Coast" which extends for 100 kms. The surf beaches have soft white sand and clean clear water.
The Sunshine Coast Hinterland has a charming village called Montville where there are many interesting shops, a National Park, Picnic area with waterfall and amazing views down to the coast.
One hour drive to the south is Southport, the start of the "Gold Coast" including Surfers Paradise. There are 18 surf beaches from Southport to the New South Wales border town of Coolangatta. Also at the Gold Coast and nearby are the theme parks, Sea World, Dream World, Warner Brothers Movie World, and the water park Wet and Wild.
The Gold Coast Hinterland is a charming place, always some degrees cooler than on the coast and incl;udes bushwalking resports, National Parks, waterfalls, and hiking trails.
Brisbane City is 25 minutes from Boondall by electric train. Southbank, on the south side of the Brisbane River has the Performing Arts Centre, Museum, Art Gallery, Museum of Modern Art, a sandy beach and swimming area in the park, Bar-B-Que facilities and picnic spots and many restaurants.
