About our home

Our suburb, Ascot is considered one if Brisbane's best suburbs. It has ample tree lined streets, beautiful large homes and a fantastic family atmosphere. We have several excellent cafes and delicatessens within walking distance, serving Australia's top gourmet foods and coffee. There is a fabulous park only 2 minutes walk where the children can play for hours and parents can relax. Ascot is only 5-10 minutes drive from the City, and only 5-10 minutes from various entertainment precincts such as Southbank, Fortitude Valley, Portside wharf and West End. There is a great walk along Brisbane's river which starts at Ascot and can take you right through to the other side of town along some of Brisbane's most stunning scenery. You will love the privacy of this area yet it's proximity to all that Brisbane has to offer. Ascot is well serviced by public transport.

More about us

  1. We are a family of 7; Dad (37), Mum (37) 2 boys (12 & 4) and 3 girls (6, 5 & 1). We have lived in Brisbane most of our lives and really like the north side. The weekly routine is very busy with work, school, sporting and extra-curricular commitments. We each (save for the smallest!) participate in individual and team sports. These include road cycling (Brisbane has a burgeoning cycling community with many established early morning routes), running, basketball, swimming, touch rugby and tennis. Weekends and holidays are spent exploring Brisbane's many parks, walking trails and cafes. The Southbank and GOMA precincts provide another excellent weekend option. Brisbane's dining scene has blossomed in the last 10 years with many and varied options and influences; there are a host of award winning restaurants. The beach is an hour in either direction (Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast). Fraser, Moreton and Stradbroke islands are all very easily accessed and provide excellent camping, fishing and water sport options. We also frequent the family's mountain retreat at Mt Mee, which is one hour north west of Brisbane.

  2. Ben is a Property Developer and Maria a Marketing Executive. We lead busy but exciting lives and spend plenty of time outdoors.

  3. This is a great Queenslander home, with large bedrooms, superb entertaining deck and a large beautiful yard. It is positioned north facing, perfect to take advantage of Queensland's weather! Inside, the home is nice and spacious, with a large front deck, a grand living area and a sun room. The kitchen has excellent appliances to make a chef out of any cook! The bedrooms all have built ins, and are comfortable and large. There is a separate laundry downstairs and a nice area for dining. The back and front yards or gardens are the pride of this home. They are large and well kept, with a children's playground, area for outdoor dining and three large beautiful trees which give the home a great appearance as well as shading and calming breezes. It is a wonderful family home.
