“Wendy and Gary were great to deal with. The communication was excellent throughout and Wendy text regularly to make sure everything was fine. Their home is very comfortable and close to everything you need or want. We really enjoyed the few cafes that were a short walk and had great treats for morning or afternoon tea. We did lots of short drives in the area to beaches, other cafes and larger shopping centres. A great stay, thanks Wendy and Gary, we'd love to come again one day.”

“Great place to stay. Wendy ( host) went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable & as it was unseasonably cold made sure we knew how to use the heating, where to find extra blankets etc. She was kind enough to allow us to use their car for local trips which was great for shopping. Kawana shopping centre is walking distance but too far to carry much. Local cafe & Thai restaurant close by & pub & restaurants & cinema are by shopping centre. Buddina is lovely, beautiful walks by the beach or along the water front. The house is on a canal with several sun traps where we were able to sit outside even though it was very cold Very comfortable with everthing you need. There were bikes in the shed not that we used them but as its very flat it would be easy to ride around the locality. Really enjoyed our stay & would recommend to anyone.!”

“This swap couldn't have been better! We had requested it to be close to our daughter for the birth of our first grandchild. Not only was the location fantastically convenient but Wendy was super easy to communicate with and flexible with dates to fit around the birth allowing us to enjoy such a special time with family. The house was really comfortable, spacious and well equipped with a lovely sunny outlook and view over the pool to the water. It’s also very close to a boat ramp so we brought our boat up and had a great time motoring around the canals looking at all the amazing houses and enjoying a sunset drink over at Mooloolaba. We had a great time riding our bikes and walking along all the pathways nearby and out to Point Cartwright to enjoy a coffee and watch the scenery. Even managed to squeeze in a few rounds of golf and hikes up Mt Coolum and Mt Ngungun between baby cuddles. Would definitely recommend Wendy’s place for swaps - great host, great house and great location. Hoping to return again ourselves in not too distant future. ”

“We loved our time at Wendy and Gary's gorgeous house in Buddina. It is a very relaxing home - kick off your shoes and enjoy type of place. Huge home, lots of space indoors and out (but we spent most of our time in or by the pool, on the upstairs deck, enjoying the outdoor lounges downstairs and eating outside!). The pool was fabulous and being on the canal was so incredibly relaxing. The sound or birdsong was an extraordinary way to wake up each day and were continued to be serenaded throughout the day. The house is very well equipped and we took advantage of the fabulous seafood available at the nearby Mooloolaba Fish Market to cook up a storm most nights. We had the privilege of looking after their gorgeous little pooch Bella - she was delightful! We were also lucky enough to meet Wendy and Gary and Gary took us out on his historic wooden surf rescue boat - our exclusive tour of the canals and ocean was an absolute highlight. As you can probably tell, we loved our time at Buddina and hope to be able to return some time. Highly recommended. ”

“We’re so incredibly grateful to Wendy & Gary for agreeing to swap. It allowed us to spend Christmas with our 1 year old granddaughter whom we hadn’t seen since 2 weeks old. Our border collie, Obi, also came on holidays & he excitedly enjoyed his leash free walks at Point Cartwright which is very close. We also enjoyed breakfasts at One on La Balsa, which is a short walk from their home & the start of leash free area. On returning to our home it was sparkling clean, lawn mown (thanks for that) & everything back in place. We would thoroughly recommend swapping with Wendy & Gary. Christine & Arthur Jackson ”

“Despite the cold and rain we had a great time at Wendy's place. The house is very spacious and comfortable and well located. We loved getting to know the lovely walks and sweet beach of Port Hacking. We liked the walkable coffee shops and tried out the nearby Thai restaurant which makes authentic green chicken curry. Wendy was very relaxed and hospitable and we wish to thank the family for our stay. ”

“Wendy's home was fantastic for a holiday by the beach for our two families. There were lots of living areas, very comfortable beds and the pool provided endless fun. The outdoor bbq and dining areas were very spacious and the bikes and trampoline were fun for our kids. Coffee shop, a great Thai restaurant and beach all within walking distance. The walking path around to Point Cartwright and then down the coastal path was really enjoyable with lots of swimming spots along the way. We loved the bbq facilities in the park also for a family get together. We brought our own bikes and used Wendy and Gary's also. Bella their adorable little dog came with us everywhere, sitting in her seat on the back of the bike. Would highly recommend Wendy's home and the very attractive location in a quiet part of the Sunshine Coast. The Kawana Shopping Centre is only a couple of minutes drive away with all the retail outlets you could every need. We also enjoyed a float down Currimundi Lake and swims in the surf, drink at The Wharf and beautiful seafood at Mooloolaba only 10 minutes drive from Wendy's home. ”

“Our family had a wonderful time at Wendy’s. The house is beautiful with large rooms, modern bathrooms, and a fantastic outdoor area to relax in. It’s very well situated, with a major shopping complex only a few minutes drive away, and a cafe with very good coffee, lots of playgrounds, and a surf beach just a short stroll away. My kids enjoyed playing on their trampoline and with their cupboard full of toys. We look forward to staying there again!”

““Everything about this home swap was perfect! Wendy and Gary could not have been more supportive and helpful. They are gorgeous! Their home is in a great location for walking to the harbour, the lighthouse, the beach, shops and cafes. The house itself is very large with a beautiful outdoor deck with several seating areas and a pool and there’s even a trampoline in the backyard. The house is very comfortable and the home decoration is pretty personal and unique. The kitchen was fully equipped and there was everything you need. We could use Wendy’s bikes and Gary even took us on a boat trip. We loved it! All in all this was a wonderful swap and we can highly recommend Wendy’s place. Thank you so much for this great experience.”

“We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful house. It was a complete treat to stay so close to the stunning vast quiet beach and also be on the water as the photo shows. We were there at Christmas and the houses across the water twinkled with lights. Wendy had thought of everything to make our stay special with even homemade sweets in the fridge for us. We still talk of Bella their dog who kept us entertained and we all loved her. Thank you for giving us such precious memories of Australia.”

The location is wonderful so close to the beach and Buddina's shopping center. There are many places to explore with fanatic beaches along the coast but also the hinterland with its national parks and small town ships is worth while a visit. I would love to come back for an other visit. ”
