About our home
Our home is brick and timber design with expansive decks overlooking our tropical garden. Our home has views to the mountains and the Pacific Ocean. We have new bamboo floors throughout, newly renovated bathrooms and high, exposed beam ceilings which showcase artwork we've collected from around the world. We fairly recently upgraded our home with a modern self-contained guest area downstairs with a queen bedroom, living area with sofa bed, kitchenette and bathroom. Comfortable, modern furnishing throughout.

We are two secondary school teachers with a well-travelled, respectful 16 year old daughter. We love travelling, art, history, walking, food and wine. We are open to any suggestions.

We have been fortunate to complete home exchanges in Ontario, Canada, Croatia, California, Singapore, Vienna and Calgary in Canada. We enjoy travelling anywhere in Europe but would love to see more of Asia, the Americas, Africa, the South Pacific and Great Britain.

In light of stupid Covid, we are open to exchanges in Queensland during school holiday times. Perhaps in December/January 2021, Western Australia might be a possibility? In 2021, hoping we might be able to travel to New Zealand?

Where is it?
Neighbourhood
We live in a leafy suburb, surrounded by trees with many native birds, including kookaburras and bush turkeys. We are an 8 minute walk to small supermarket, take-away cafe, pizza and Thai restaurant, coffee shop, gym and Bottle-shop. A 10-minute drive will get you to a large shopping centre (with restaurants, cinema, supermarkets, department stores and boutiques), and to beautiful beaches including Mooloolaba which has great cafes, fine dining and lovely vistas. We have 2 cars: a Toyota Rav 4WD and a new Suzuki Vitara SUV. We are only a 1-hour drive to Brisbane and the International airport; the local airport is a 15-minute drive away with regular value flights to Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and New Zealand.
