About our home

We have 4 bedrooms available in the swap (another room/office will be locked), plus 2 living areas, 2 bathrooms & laundry. A large entertaining deck/patio outside with bar and BBQ, and a pool. It's a great place for families as we have a swing set and trampoline in the backyard. The bush/rainforest backdrop makes it a very quiet and private place.
You will need a car to get around to most places. We are very central to popular beaches and tourist destinations on the Sunshine Coast. You can walk to 3 restaurants and a supermarket from our home, however in summer it gets very hot in Queensland and it may be too hot to walk far. Brisbane is 1 hour 15 minutes away in the car.

More about us

  1. We're a family of 5 from Australia, who love to travel. Our 3 girls are aged 10, 7 & 3 and are well behaved and respectful of property.

  2. Jason works as a product engineer and Krystal is in marketing & communications. We have travelled the world and lived in California, USA before.

  3. We love the laid back lifestyle on the Queensland coast, and our home and pool take advantage of this. We are located a short 7 minute drive to some of the best beaches in Queensland, and close to lots of local attractions. Brisbane is just over 1 hour away by car.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Our home is in a leafy, suburban, family friendly neighbourhood, under 10 minutes drive (5km) to the beach. It's a quiet, peaceful area. A short drive away there are restaurants and attractions.

Our area is more family friendly, but there are loads of options at Mooloolaba including Rice Boi at The Wharf
Cool bars
Backlane Bar & Street Food (Mooloolaba)
Cozy cafés
Buderim mountain (5 minutes drive) has lots of Cafes and dining options
Retail therapy
Sunshine Plaza is about 10 minutes drive away and has lots of smaller shops and department stores, plus cinemas and dining options
Spot of exercise
Headland Park golf course is 2km up the road. Also there are lots of walking tracks and the beach is 5 flat kilometres away if you cycle (though it gets very very hot here in December), tennis courts approx 2km away, several public pools in the area, you can hire surfboards at the beach and have a surf.
Day tripping
Australia Zoo, Sealife Aquarium, The Ginger Factory, Aussie World, Mooloolaba Beach, Alexandra Headland Beach, Brisbane (1hr 15min drive), Noosa (40 minutes drive), Montville & Maleny (approx 1/2hr drive)
