About our home

Our house is a comfortable modern 4 bedroomed house. There are two spacious living areas. The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, with double basins, toilet, bath and separate generous shower. This bedroom has a large window looking out onto the swimming pool. The second double bedroom is at the front of the house overlooking the garden. The third bedroom contains a single bed, whilst the fourth bedroom is used as the office. The family bathroom also has a bath and walk- in shower, single hand basin and a separate toilet. The office is equipped with, broadband and wi-fi connections. There is a separate laundry with washing machine and dryer. The kitchen has stainless steel cooker and dishwasher, ceramic hob, and a microwave. The house also has ducted, reverse cycle air conditioning. Telephones are situated in the kitchen, and office. There are TV's in the lounge and kitchen/living areas with both terrestrial and Foxtel satellite offered. The garage is double, with a remote electrically operated door. The gardens are compact, with a generous outside entertaining area and a small swimming pool.
We are looking for an exchange in May, June, July 2021, for either one, or two months We would consider most parts of England, but ideally one month on the Wirral, and two months further South. We would however consider any enquiries, but only in the U. K

We are a retired teacher and engineer-originally English, but now loving life on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. We would look after your house with the same care with which we look after our own.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

We live in village-like Buderim, on the Sunshine Coast (please visit the website www.buderim.com), in tropical Queensland. We are 1 hour north of the river city, Brisbane, with its excellent shopping, theatres, and entertainment centre, plus its international airport. We also have the Sunshine Coast domestic airport just 20 minutes away, giving direct access to both Sydney and Melbourne. Our home is near to stunning beaches at Mooloolaba and Alexander Headland, with good restaurants and trendy cafe life. Swimming, surfing,fishing and boat trips on the Maroochy and Noosa rivers are available. From June to November we have whale watching trips,out of Mooloolaba and Hervey Bay, which offer close up encounters with humpback whales, dolphins and turtles and the occasional shark. 30 minutes' drive away is the famous twice weekly Eumundi craft market. The home of the crocodile man, Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo, is only 20 minutes' drive from here. Inland are the beautiful Glasshouse Mountains and the Blackall Ranges for scenic drives and picnicing, with the lovely tourist towns of Montville and Maleny offering a choice of shops and restaurants, as well as spectacular views back to the sea. The internationally known Gold Coast is a 2 hour drive south, and the famous holiday resort of Noosa, is only a 40 minute drive along the coast (Richard Branson knows a good spot when he sees one!).
