About our home

We built our much loved home in 1998. We have just given her a new paint job, new carpets threw out and new kitchen put in with up cycled timber bench tops .The house boasts the biggest deck in Byron Bay and a bbq to match ! The deck is 9 by 8mtrs with a fully covered the insulated roof to keep us cool on those hot summer days. We also added a south wall for more protection . We have 10 seater dining table that offers enough room for all culinary/ work / gaming and social needs . There is a double day bed with a mozzie net and curtains for added relaxation and comfort. Also on the deck we have a massive wrap around lounge that tops it off . The house has 3 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs , the main room has a private deck that looks out onto a bush reserve . Down stairs boasts an open plan kitchen living and dining room that has a laundry attached . The house faces north and has a private flat grass lawn with a herb garden for your convenience. Beautiful bush outlooks from the whole of property makes us feel we are in the bush not in town ! We have an outside shower hot/cold to wash the beach off at the end of the day. There is a fully self contained studio that is seperate to the house . This has its own entrance if need otherwise you can access it from main house . It boasts a Kingsize bed , TV, bathroom and kitchenette with a large undercover court yard with daybed, great perants retreat or great for added guests . We have a park across the road with plenty of room to kick a ball or play some cricket . There is a 24 hour gym 3 doors up and you will find the best coffee in town a short 4 minute walk away. This cafe "The Road House" turns into a Restaurant / Wisky bar by night . We are only a short 15minute walk across the road and threw the Arakawel National park to a long stretch of quiet surf beaches . The main beaches are about a 20 min flat easy walk into town / 4 mins in a car / $10 in a cab. We have had the same neighbours for 15 yrs they and are all local working family's and you will find them very friendly . We love our privacy and so do they ! There are busses that stop at the end of our street if prompted only charging $3 into town . We are about 5 blocks out of the Byron town ship close enough to enjoy but far enough to get away from it all . We love plants and nature and you will see and feel this throughout the whole property and inside our house and on the deck. We have furnished our home with up sucked cane furniture and you will find no clutter as we prefer a more simplistic lifestyle to live in.
