About our home

Our spacious home was finished in 2008. Designed as a passive solar house, it is light, airy and cool with floor to ceiling windows throughout. There are fantastic ocean views from several rooms in the house and from the back balcony and verandah. There are 5 bedrooms plus a possible 6. 10 people could sleep comfortably here. Beach side restaurants are 5 minutes walk away. The central business district is 15 minutes drive. There is a large central, shaded courtyard with a Mediterranean feel ideal for out door dinning. There are also several other balconies with great views ideal for sitting and enjoying a sundowner or drinking your morning coffee. The neighbours are helpful and friendly. The street is pretty quiet. Sometimes the only noise you'll hear at night are the cicadas and the waves crashing on the beach. You can have a relaxing and or outdoor activity based stay here.

There are several great beach restaurants within walking distance. Many great restaurants in Perth.
Cool bars
A couple of great bars in the Town of Cambridge and the bars of the City are within 15 minutes drive
Cozy cafés
There are several very local beach cafes with great coffee and cakes within walking distance of our house.
Retail therapy
There are several shopping centres all with the normal variety of shops
Bit of culture
His Majestys Theatre, Perth Concert Hall, Kings Parka and The Quarry are often showing great perfoamnces whether bands, ballet, opera or plays. There are many outdoor venues for entertainment in perth including Kings Park and very locally, The Quarry in City Beach which provides a unique experience for outdoor entertainment.
Walks in the park
There are many park walks in Perth. More local to our home is Bold Park. Within 5 minutes you can be in the park and walking in bushland, feeling as though you are miles from civilisation. Or for the more adventurous you may want to walk a section of the Bibbulmun Track which is 1,000km in total starting at Kalamunda, 30 km east of the CBD.
Spot of exercise
With the beach right outside the back door, a sports oval, cycle paths and bush parks, there is plenty of opportunity to exercise outdoors and inside..
Day tripping
Hmm, what to promote there is so much! There are lovely day trips to take to Fremantle to see the old Gaol and the Markets, Aruleun Botanical Gardens, Hilary's Boat Yard, Whiteman Park and The Swan Valley Wineries just 45 minutes out of the City. These are just a few examples of the many day trips you can do living in Perth.
