Built from local stone & reclaimed timber our home has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. It looks like an older stone cottage, but is only 12 years old, with a brand new two storey extension. It has all modern facilities with wood burning fire and airconditioning. It is set on 3 acres of land with olive grove and vines. The property has many native eucalypt trees with abundent birdlife. There is a large pond where native ducks visit.
The house is cosy and inviting and the outlook is peaceful and tranquil. Sit on the balcony and listen to the Kookaburras, Magpies Rosellas & Galahs every morning and evening, as they fly in to feed.
We have pay TV, high speed internet access, Plasma TV, DVD, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, microwave & coffee machine.
We have lovely views of semi rural countryside, but are only a 10 minute walk from the main shopping area. It is lovely and quiet as we are 2km from the township of Clare. The Clare Golf Course is only 200mtrs away and only 300mts from the Country Club Restaurant. If you enjoy wine, there are a least 5 wineries within a 10km radius. Close to the Reisling Trail and many art galleries and restaurants. A great place to hire a bicycle and explore the region, or just go for a pleasant walk.
Clare is an 1 & 1/2 hours drive from Adelaide and about a 2 hour drive from Adelaide International Airport. Adelaide is about a 2 hour domestic flight from Sydney.
We are a non smoking couple in our mid 50's who have been married for 38 years. We have 2 children and 5 grandchildren. We have run our our own ceiling contracting business for the past 35 years.
My husband used to sail (when we had a boat), but now drives me around the countryside on week-ends in our 1972 MGB tourer. He loves most types of motorsports.
I love craft and needlework, but never seem to find enough time to indulge my interests.
We both enjoy reading and gardening, and spending time with our little Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Bella.
