“What a wonderful surprise to arrive at such a lovely location. It was a peaceful and restful Tasmanian holiday for us and within easy driving reach of all the amenities and walks that Coles Bay has to offer. Everything you need is in the warm house; comfortable bed, good shower and an excellent wood heater with plenty of wood. The house is set in a beautiful bushland garden and completely private with a deck that goes half way round the house. The walk along the nearby beach is stunning like all of the Freycinet Peninsula. We didn’t meet the owners but had a lovely chat with Mike on the phone. Their written instructions were perfect to follow. Thanks Mike for an amazing stay! ”
“Mike’s holiday home in Coles Bay is cosy, rustic and very clean. Everything was well appointed. The fire was set for us upon arrival. The location is very close to Freycinet national park for lots of lovely walks and treks and the renowned Wineglass Bay. In winter most of the shops on Coles Bay township are closed. Get your supplies in Bicheno 30 mins away or Swansea- stop by at Melshell Oysters off the 9 Mile Beach for the freshest and most succulent oysters ever. We went twice, again on our way to Hobart. We were a little cold in the bedrooms but the hot water bottles and one portable heater helped. Thanks Mike & Liz for making our stay an easy one. Beautiful corner of Tasmania. ”
“We spent four days at Mikes house and had a great time. The location is very convenient to all that the area has to offer. The house is a typical, very good Australian holiday home and has everything necessary for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. ”
“Our stay at Coles Bay was absolutely fabulous. We enjoyed long walks on pristine beaches and the proximity to the Freycinet National Park was great for hiking. The house itself was a delightful beach house with everything you'd need for a holiday. Lovely linens too! Thanks Mike for excellent communication and tips for enjoying the area. ”
“This was a very comfortable and easy to live in house, set in beautiful surroundings. We took my aged parents and they also enjoyed their stay very much. We can thoroughly recommend the Wine Glass Bay Cruise, and the easy walk to the lighthouse. It was lovely to have the wood fire heater, and we also enjoyed the wood barbeque. The basket of goodies provided and the lovely flowers made us feel very welcome. Mike and Liz will be staying at our place later this year, and we hope they have as good a time!”
“We had a great time in Mike's home everything you would need for a successful holiday was provided. We also liked the short walk to the near by beach which is a real safe and beautiful beach I din't know before even I have been in this area many times. I recommend this property to anybody who likes a comfort well equipped home in a nice position.”
“Perfect guests wouldn't really know they'd stayed as house was same as we left it. Left a lovely note saying they'd had a wonderful stay.”
