About our home

Stunning three-level modern family home located in the heart of Sydney's Northern Beaches. This stylish, comfortable house has lots of space and an easy-care front garden with lawn area. There is a back gate which leads directly to a public park and playground.

There is also your very own fully equipped yoga studio, a saltwater swimming pool, with a deck, which is solar heated, an outdoor hot shower and outdoor heated 5-person spa/jacuzzi. Upstairs there is a large deck with bush views and barbecue.

Home comes with all mod-cons, including wi-fi, with office area and even a downstairs rumpus room which can be used as a granny flat/teenage retreat. There is a basketball hoop and two kayaks and two SUP to use, which the kids will love!
There is reverse cycle air conditioning which is ducted throughout.

There are four large bedrooms upstairs, all carpeted and a huge bathroom and separate WC. The main bedroom also has an ensuite. There is also a bedroom with a comfortable sofa bed (koala mattress) and huge TV on the middle level of the house. We can also arrange for a cleaner to come during your stay if wished.

“We had a lovely stay at Katie and Alec's home. The house had everything we needed and was perfectly located close to everything we wanted to see and do. The spa was such a special treat too after a day of sightseeing. We also loved looking after gorgeous doggo Minti and cat Marley, who were no trouble at all and we really enjoyed taking Marley for a walk at the park behind the house....she was a dream, best-behaved pup ever. Great communication before, during, and after which really helped us newbies to home exchange and such helpful tips to help us get around Sydney and surrounds. Thanks so much guys, hopefully see you again some time x ”

“We are a family of four and did a lovely swap with Katie, Alec and family for a week over the January school holidays. Communication was easy and we sorted everything out with ease via email and phone. we looked after their dog and cat and this was great fun for our children. The home as everything you need and we also swapped cars to get around. Dee why beach is a short drive away as is Manly beach. Beautiful coastal walks and great restaurants to choose from. Easy to get to the city via bus that leaves just down the road and takes you into the city centre. Thanks Katie and Alec .”

More about us

We are Katie and Alec, a married couple with three children (aged 20, 17 and 14), a dog and a cat (we can arrange for them to be looked after during the exchange or they can stay - whatever suits). We are both professionals (business owner and media manager) and enjoy travelling when we are able to get away.
We are both originally from the UK and have lived in Australia for 23 years. We have enjoyed several successful house and car exchanges. We would ensure you are well looked after and have everything you need for an enjoyable stay. We will have a folder of leaflets with attractions close by, walking and bike trails etc...
We would like to arrange an exchange some way in advance in order to get to know our fellow exchangers via email first to see how best we can help them enjoy and get the most from their stay in Australia.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Cromer Heights is quiet and close to bushland. There are many tracks which you can hike or mountain bike just one street away. This bush area leads to the stunning Narrabeen Lake.
We have bikes you can borrow to cycle around the newly-completed Narrabeen Lake bike and walking track or cycle to Dee Why.

The house also backs on to a large, level park and playground.
It is within easy reach of (45 minute drive) Sydney CBD with a regular bus service.

There are many beaches to drive to - from Manly all the way up to Palm Beach (where Home and Away is filmed). Our closest beach is Collaroy - just a five minute drive away - other beaches including Narrabeen, Dee Why and Freshwater are around a 10 minute drive. It is an ideal location to relax and explore the beautiful Northern Beaches of Sydney.
